Dont worry, u r young. Just enjoy eating what u like. Soon enough age will catch up n metabolism will slow down and the weight will come, hopefully not too much n too fast for your comfort.. Heh

Forgot to add also that genetics do play a big part... If your parents and family (espec parents) are both really thin too.. there's a big chance you might take after them as well..

If that really bothers you, then you may want to try bulking up the "gym dude" way (no guarantee it'll work though) i.e. in addition to eating alot, take mass gainers and pump iron.

Reminds me of my father.

He was skinny his whole life, UNTIL he hit mid-50s, then suddenly BOOMZ! He became fat literally overnight.

24, almost every meal i eat have meat. dont eat breakfast though since my work starts at noon and i wake up at noon. so 2 meals a day. pants size around 27-28...
In theory, your diet is how people should eat if they want to lose weight.

You skip breakfast which means you fast for >12 hours everyday. People would define it as intermittent fasting, which is a tool for weight loss.

You eat protein at every meal, which is good for your body in terms of health, but it also makes it difficult to be hungry enough to eat enough calories for weight gain.

You also don't have the habit of over eating.

All good things for health, but just not good if you want to put on weight.

Maybe you want to try focusing your meals on more carbohydrates. Eating carbs makes you able to eat more calories, and the fullness doesn't last long, so that you can eat again soon.

I have kept my weight down for 5-6 years already, and effortlessly I might add.

It's not complicated. To lose fat, you need to eat less than you expend. Normally, that would mean feeling hungry all the time. As you know, feeling hungry all the time is a recipe for failure for the purpose of losing body fat.

So what do we do? We use the properties of macronutrients to out advantage. For most people, protein and fat provides the most satiety, and the satiety lasts for a long time.

For example, compare how much butter you can eat before feeling like you want to stop eating with how much pasta you can eat. You get the idea.

So if you make the focus of your meals to be protein and fat, you can *probably* eat til you're full and still come in at less calories than if you focus your meals on rice/noodles typical of our Asian meals. And that fullness lasts for a much longer time.

Result: you feel full and satisfied for a long time and don't have the desire to snack, which leads to loss of body fat.

3 questions:

1. what about fatty fried stuff ? or does that depend on the oil? what about mcD's beef burgers and KFC's chicken?

2. one meal a day - won't you feel hungry at some point? Obviously it shouldn't be dinner, but which better - breakfast or lunch ?

3. what about alcohol?

1) I avoid anything fried. Frying food oxidises it. But if it was say hand cut fries fried in duck fat, I'd have a few. KFC is a big no no due to the hydrogenated oil they use. McD beef burger I've eaten when I was in a small town China and there was absolutely nothing decent to eat. I ordered 6 big macs with no mayo/ketchup, threw away the bread and ate only the patties and lettuce. The patties are grilled, so not as bad. But the meat quality is not ideal.

2) Nope. I don't feel hungry everyday until about 6pm. I'd have my last cuppa green tea then and have dinner with my family at around 7pm.

3) Alcohol in moderation. A glass (max 2 if you had a hard workout that day) of red wine to accompany your steak is fine. If you're trying to lose weight, avoid it until you get near to your goal weight. Choose quality alcohol, eg, red wine > white wine for the resveratrol, avoid beer at all costs (made of GMO grain which makes you fat and sick)...

That's the reason. If you want to gain you need to eat breakfast. One motto worked for me last time its from that guy that promotes his six-pack short cuts online. He said "eat when you are not full". In other words, don't wait till hungry then eat.

Actually, Azrielsc's recommendation look the best among all 3. The 305 looks a bit too 'round' for me so I find it a mismatch with its ruggedness.

The 24 will be perfect if not for the Cyclops I guess. The 12 and 6 hour markings are nicer than the non-numerical markings of the 305.

The 571? That's exactly the same as the 305 except its limited edition without the see-through caseback.

Actually i think the reflectiveness is coming from the protective plastic thingy that shops wrap their watches with... Can see a hint from the photos that Yatto posted.

Is it? My titanium 351 & 389 not so shiny...

Nope, the 305 actually has this dazzle of reflection along the bezel when many lights shine on it.

....... KFC is a big no no due to the hydrogenated oil they use......

From what I read, trans fat (partially hydrogenated oils) are more or less gone from Singapore. AVA has banned it. Fully hydrogenated oil I thought is ok.
