Break the "Travel" thread wif photos of new watch hoot...
The review is going to get a little lengthy eh..

Pulled the trigger on my first China watch...

The classic skeleton M182SK for less than $200..
Bought from trusthonestman/junliao/good-stuffs/times international
Shop-to-Deliver Time: 1 week (can be up to 2 weeks)

The detailing is beautiful.. but of course not at the Maurice Lacroix or Tissot Squelette levels la...
Not difficult to see roughness in the polished metal plates..

38mm of minimised metal plates, powered by the Sea-Gull ST1601K movement...

I think the backside looks better than the front lor...

At this price level, I'm surprised it hacks! and handwinds!
Accuracy dun seem to be a problem so far. Will monitor for a few more days..

Supposedly comes with a sapphire face

I dunno how to "test" for sapphire non-destructively..

Can't tell from this picture, but the dome is crazily high and clear..
No signs of any AR coating though..

Wrist shot!

Legibility is totally different from my Divers. Takes 0.5seconds more each glance in order to tell the time.. maybe it's a matter of getting used to it.. hehe..

And someone was asking around for watches under $1K, under $400?
I lurve my affordables deep deep.. haha..

Pirated Xiaomis & Sea-Gulls aside, I think the Europeans watchmakers need to be really on their toes before another Quartz Crisis hit them from East Asia..

Impressive seagull, amazing how much we can see from a $200 watch! Which will cost a lot more on other brands.

That's me!

Looks stunningly beautiful. Not my type of watch though.

I like watches with just hour-minute-second hands with a robust body (which is why I lean onto 200m watches).

Beautiful shots though, I must say.

No wrist shot in Perth today... Busy chasing after my boys in the wildlife park.

Here's one shot for this trip's last night in Perth. Back to hot hot SG tomorrow.

When I bought my Monaco many moons ago, it was the only watch I had for a long time. I wore it mountain biking (big crashes where I broke my ribs) all the time. In fact I wore it everywhere except swimming. The shocks it was exposed to were violent and frequent. Those were pre-suspension days.

Every time we travel through this tunnel, our driver says the same thing: it was built by the current president's father, who brought great progress to Korea.

Sat down here for a quick tea

We have this in SG too.

The mark up in this place is out of this world

At least the food was good, though expensive. Each piece of meat you see on the grill is 30,000 won, which is about US$30. 4 pieces = US$120!

Cooked up, there isn't much left.

At today's preview of the Tudor Blue Blackbay in Tudor MBS, thanks to the wonder team at Tudor, I managed to get a glimpse of the Blue Blackbay.

I say, the blue leather strap is very unique and goes very well the the watch.

The traditional wristshot with my bosses
