i believe this one in the pic is called an open heart flying wheel.

and yes sea gull have real tourbillions that even the swiss are envious about - see post above.

when the distinctive chinese tourbillions were announced 5-6 years ago (patented design) it sent shockwaves throughout the watchmaking world.

That's interesting..I once thought tourbillons are an unachievable dream... hmmmmmm....

victim of marketing just like many of us. some of us unknowingly, and some of us willingly :)

just so you know swiss made means at least 50% value of the parts made in switzerland, very likely 49% of the parts made in china.

china govt is negotiating with swiss govt to change this if they want to sell in china and still call it "swiss made".

50% rule is old, new rule since 2013 is 60%

no diff other than cosmetic.

Sub is a 'tool' watch with brushed metal and ceramic bezel and higher water resistance. can withstand rough handling to some extent. more suited towards divers.

milgauss is less of a sporty kind of watch with polished links and lower WR. Need to baby it more compared to Sub. it has also soft iron cage protecting the movement against magnetic field up till 1k gauss, hence the name. More suitable for scientist/engineer types who come across electronic equipment, etc that has magnetic leakage.

Out for breakfast with the family :)
The flag that almost lost its raison detre.

For what seems to have become the customary watch and shoe shot. Shades of grey and titanium, not as gay...I mean as chirpy colours as the above. :D

Feel like flipping my frederique constant open heart automatic. Bought in Aug. Full box and warranty. Anyone might be interested? Thought of getting a moonphase or moon watch.

Pm me. Hardly worn. Original strap and buckle unworn
