hi all, need some advice here.
Possible to get a men's watch with 2K budget?
Would really love to get from baume and mercier but think not possible with 2K? What are the other options i have? Thank you!

Brands like hamilton, Tissot, Ball, etc all have models that meet your budget. What kind of watch are you looking for? Bracelet, leather, sporty, dress/smart...etc?

what if i miscue and damage the watch.. where can i get from ah? don't wanna get chop by random shops... :)

Just be careful. Going to be kind of restrictive and tedious if you have to go to a shop everytime for a strap, buckle etc change.

Heh, Jerry's speech was a load of crap. He's a comedian and entertainer I don't expect much life truths from him...anyway regarding watch movements almost all the main players have in-house movements no? I can't think off hand any one which doesn't have it, Tag, Omega, Rolex, Breitling, Panerai, JLC, Zenith....on and on...all have 'em. To me having it speaks of the company that it is here to stay like the article said, it's now more like "oh you don't have in-house movements?" Rather than "you have in-house movements"....soon it will be no big deal to have in-house movements me thinks...

You may call it brand whoring, but if brand is no preference it's hard to comprehend spending 10-25k on a watch because in that range it's paying for a specific watch manufacturer's expertise, history, culture etc. which is specific to the brand. I get the impression your dad isn't really into watches? Really not worth putting 10-25k on a wrist if one is not really a WIS of sorts. That range is beginning to enter into what is generally accepted as the high end stuff.

i agree to this. a rolex datejust/2 will do the job and can be done below the price of 10k.
or if brand doesnt matter can look at grand seiko range.

RHD deployant are very comfortable and thin. I find it better than the ones that I bought from the other websites (2 others).

No experience with bradystraps.
