Hard for many ppl here.
Not hard for me.

i think it depends on personality as well as exposure.

i've lived abroad and have been exposed to a culture/society where brandwhores are the minority. mind you this is a first world country.

people pride themselves on being able to recognize and appreciate and perhaps experience the quality first hand and paying for it accordingly. not relying on a brand to tell you that.

typically "brandwhores" are found in large sections as a product of a young and successful economy as a result of the "nouveau-riche" (newly-rich) segment i.e. accumulation of wealth in the last generation.

its a social phenomena and we singaporeans are in a sandwich generation where we can see this happening over the years in the rising economies of our neighbours.

ironically we start to distance ourselves from them haha :)

edit: confession - i myself started as a brandwhore but as i mellow i find myself seeking real value...the journey goes on but brands are becoming less and less meaningful as the ability to directly engage and appreciate the goods sans brand.

are you referring to the 114060?

Retail is about SGD9,500

Any idea roughly whats the discount for the subs? Heading to Japan soon and based on online rates its available there for about $7800-8000 SGD. If its a good bargain may consider getting from there. If its not much diff then I rather get local.

Honestly not sure, it really depends on your relationship with these ADs. Think I paid 9 earlier this year. Good luck

love the build quality especially the details like the totally reflective dial

the red tipped seconds hand

(and the discreet black-on-black Zr02 wording to avoid crowding out the dial)

matching black date dial, slightly raised date numerals
