agree - not through the roof but definitely will increase. not because of the founder but the distributor; no more fancy discounts like 25% 30% etc

There's 50% off now
2.5k and 2.8k respectively.

Are you saying THG has got the RG world timer you bought previously and is now selling at $2.8K?
Cos you showed 3 watches and I don't know 2.5k and 2.8k refers to which ones :o

I am quite lost

I like the RG but I already have a RG worldtimer. The steel will be better addition but it doesn't look as nice on my wrist. But steel looks pretty good when coupled with white shirts.
the only steel dress watch I have is the maurice lacroix skeleton, which has no dial.

what do u guys think?

edit: I forgot I have a cartier santos100 ..... then maybe no point getting the FC moonphase

nope; the worldtimer is about 3k; I bought 4k+

the moonphase are the 2.5 and 2.8

Can u resist the 50% discount temptation..? :s12:
The steel with blue dial is really nice I must say.. It could add a difference normal feel to the standard steel with white or black dial to your collection.. :s22:

Keep seeing Yatto's Nautilus until it's growing on me. At first I thought Pams were ugly but the submersible grew on me. De Ja Vu. And I notice those watches I like don't have numerals, just indices. Self discovery!

i believe Yatto's aura and sexy hairs make any watch looks outstanding..;)

Hi pros !

I am deciding to buy my first lux watch and I'm deciding between the following :

1) Tag Heuer Carrera

2) Longines Masters Collection

3) Omega Moonwatch Professional

4) Omega Moonwatch Co-axial

Some questions :
1) Should I get a bracelet or a leather strap one ? My concern is that usually strap need to have matching belts or shoes but bracelet would be easier to match with clothes. Some also say that should get with bracelet because leather straps are easier to buy in the market.

2) For resale value, I read around that usually Tags have a higher resale value during to brand recognition and higher brand equity.

3) For the Omegas, do they require manual winding ?

Hope some pros down here can advise to see what would be a good watch as a first lux watch :)

A lot of kind ppl ans your qns

2. where did U get the info from? Tag owners? Tag has poor resale too.
3.Omega, Tag, etc any auto watch they may req manual winding

I would get an Omega or just hoot a Zenith thru grey!
ie
Zenith Captain 03-2110-400-01-C498 Men's Watch

I'd buy the steel one.

A black/white watch is classic. It'll go any time you wear black shoes, and it's very appropriate for black tie, more so than any of the watches in your current collection (including the Santos). Your dial-less Maurice Lacroix cannot serve the same function.

You already have a rose gold FC watch. Also another point is that, it's gold plated. A plain steel watch has more "dignity" than a plated one, at least to me.

Choose Speedy pro with bracelet, manual wind. Change to straps when you feel like it, no need to worry abt strap matching clothes...

Speedy coaxial automatic, size 44mm but price double?
Tag resale sucks, you probably read tag propaganda

I'd caution anyone against buying the FC purely due to the discount. Watches are a personal taste thing, if you don't like the look on you that 2.5/2.8k will be wasted, and it's not a small sum. Doesn't matter how much discount it was at....unless you can be sure can buy , and later if don't like still can sell used at 2.5/2.8k after the discount is over.

no one should be buying anything because of discount period.

watches, shoes, shirts, car, phones, chairs, cups etc belongs to the personal taste CAT. even its a 50 cents items for discount and be throwing it out the next sec. creating waste bad for the environment. might as well donate the $$ away
