Just back from panerai dinner.

The story is this - i bought the 305 just last month. I wear my watches on my right hand.

Just two weeks later at the exhibition they showcased the 569(left hand, hobnail version of the 305). Very very upset.

Had a good look at the 569 today - ah ha! No transparent caseback. That would not do for me. Made my day a bit better hahaha

Ahahahaha! The hobnail dial also comes with vintage lume right?

One option for you - buy for your wife!!

Panerai dinner by Cortina watches

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Dinner was good

Door gift - i think it's a keychain...?

This piece was nice. 50k? red gold

this piece about 80k....some dunno what movement....in WG

sorry ah. I'm probably the worst reporter ever. hahahaha

started with a very tiny showroom with the displays and all
then proceed to dinner
COO makes opening speech, panerai head of SEA (some ang mo fella) makes speech
chit chat while food is served
watches were then passed around
marketing talks around the table
lovely evening.

sorry, I'm a noob at panerai. dun even know what models they were. just tried everything and made a bit of comments (they asked for it) and yeah it was enjoyable. Fraser from cortina as usual (ambassador for panerai) was a walking encyclopedia and one of the best salesperson I ever know.

Any reputable 2nd hand shops? Want go look see haha

What kind of watches are you looking at?

If you are looking at high end 2nd hand luxury watches...den look no further than HJ watches.

Monster quite limited

if looking at vintage...then can go to precision...lu Ann...bencoolen

Where is this place?

Anyway it's quite amazing with all the temptations and poison on this thread, u manage to stay true and faithful to your rolex explorer at all times! :)

Mark of a good partner! hehe

Sanya , Hainan.

The explorer , not the most expensive nor luxurious. Most prefer the sub and gmt than it... for me , the more i look it on my wrist , the more attracted i'm to it... even it is lying on the desk , i'll take a second glance at it... lol sounds biased but i love it and glad i got it instead :o;)

the 50k blue dial RG panerai, i like! 8 days.. :)

btw, just a newb qn to all watch pros out here, does your watch makes some noises when you shake them? probably from the movement or something. just curious becos i have not worn the FC watch which i bought, and the time stopped. Was attempting to make it start moving again when i shook it lightly, which i heard the sound. like e. e. e.

good morning yatto dai kor...

just a thought after I closely examining your nautilus that day at the watch meet, and went back to relook at the photos taken...
I felt that PP didn't do a lot of justice on the finer details given the price tag, such as the moonphrase, the markers, the surface and texture of the dial face.

i hope that if PP is going to release a new version of the nautilus, they will focus more on these areas.

but I'm not sure if you felt this way too... :o

Another thing to share is that the lighting at the watch meet is yellow and dim, next time we change to a brighter place and do relook at the nautilus again. I bring mine too. Hopefully can bring the 5270g by then. Looking carefully u will also see how fine the worksmanship is. Nautilus at that price bracket is worth it, the history as well. Really I do not see why the Urwerk can cost twice of my RG nautilus. But that's like bashing myself. But the look of Urwerk from comments of all the pretty girls so far is priceless. Hehe
