i must say the old logo one looks nicer to me

and lastly some more useful info

As from June 18, 2014 and from November 1, 2014 we will change the price for the models listed below as follows:

ANTEA KS - to EUR 695,- net from June 18, 2014 (from November 1st to EUR 730,- net)

Marine Original - to EUR 880,- net from June 18, 2014 (from November 1st to EUR 980,- net)
(good news - by optimising the case production we no more have to charge an additional price for the matt case!)

Seatime - to EUR 780,- net from June 18, 2014 (from November 1 to EUR 880,- net)
Unfortunately besides the problems with the movements also the prices for case and crystals which will
be increased in the near future are concerned).

Prodiver - to EUR 980,- net from June 18, 2014
(from November 1st up to EUR 980,- , unfortunately we have the same situation here as with the Seatime, so also the prices
for the cases and crystals will be increased in the near future).

Flieger Unitas 6498 to EUR 880,- net from June 18, 2014 (from November 1 up to EUR 980,- EUR net)

Antea KS 41 to EUR 880,- net from June 18, 2014
(no further increase in 2014!).

which magrette do you have and would you care to post some pics and a review? i think it could be the first for magrette here on hwz. :s12:

Attached above is the link for my magrette photos.
This is the Magrette Pacific Chrono. It uses Seagull ST 19 movement. It measures 44mm in size and 52mm lug to lug. The build and quality is great for its price. I would say it wears small for its specs due to the small dial. Chronograph function works perfectly. Timekeeping is acceptable at -6s/day. The sandwich dial looks great I'm steel. I would recommend Magrette to anyone who is looking for a bigger-sized watch with innovative design.

Great looking watch! Does the PVD last well? I'm apprehensive about PVD cause I'm quite rough. My watches have scratches all over.

Are parnis watch frowned upon here?

friend,
I have resisted replying to you and even deleted some of my sarcastic posts. Honestly quite a lot of us have added you to the ignore list. After some thoughts I think someone has to tell you the cold hard truth, and I will put it as amicably as possible.

The issue here is not with the brand, but the attitude.

Your first post here was of a fake (i don't glorify fakes with the word replica), and when paladium called your bluff, your tone to ask him to support his claims suggests you were trying your luck. Don't deny it - any thinking human here can tell. When your luck ran out, you flipped prata and started a tirade of "eagle eye spotting games", not to mention all the "took it for a virgin ride" blah blah blah.

Why not just come clean with it and say it's a fake from the very first post? That'll command more respect than prata flipping. Then with some CSI you got exposed as a 22 yr old chap. I guess the reason you're doing all these is simply because you're still young.

I think generally we welcome anybody here, and I would also like to extend this welcome to you too (not like I'm some big shot here or what); but please do not post fakes AND try to pass them off as genuine.

People can buy fakes for all reasons - to try the size, just for the heck of it, whatever rocks his/her boat; but to try passing it off as the real thing doesn't say very good things about a person.

As for cheap watches, I believe we have more respect for someone who enjoys and loves his cheap watches than someone who tries to fake it with a fake.

From your other posts on HWZ it seems you are going through a rough patch. I wish you all the best and emerge stronger from it. I'm older than you and have probably experienced worse and more things in life. Just don't give up, and face life with a positive attitude. It will change for the better.

With that, may I suggest we put the incident behind us and move on :) really don't want to spoil the wonderful dynamics on this thread.

Godspeed all! :D

(You can come hold my hand too ;) but not with the fake watch hor hahahaha)

i have the same concerns about pvd, but i have a vintage heuer and a cheap <$200 citizen quartz daily beater in PVD both have no nicks.

i'm not rough but my watches are not exactly blemish free either. but PVD has actually better resistance to fine scratchs - they actually look better than some of my steel satin finishes where you can see the finest of hairlines scratches.

as it is a coating, the right amount of force at the right angle will cause it to chip... same for ceramic and other metallic finishes like rose gold.

If so don't think there is a way to touch up the scratch easily, its a full on application process, so would need a full strip to get it done nicely.

if you're concerned then a cheap marker pen or black nail polish or car paint touch up pen may help.

for me i'll make sure that its a tool watch or daily beater, so the scratches will just add to the look or at least match it. divers and pilot watches mainly. maybe auto inspired chronos.

Thank you for the information. I'm not aiming for a scratch free watch (all my watches have fine scratches and some not so fine ones). Just that I do not like a silver line scratch on a black background. :)

Thank you for the round up. I'm thinking of getting the Black Face SS, no confidence in PVD. How's Miyota compared with ETA 2824?
