Pardon me for asking despite being here for quite some time,

I know for automatic movement, as long we wear it, we wont have the issue for setting the dates/ times since the watch will consistently be "alive"

However, for hand winding movement, do you all have to set the date everyday? or is that when the thing call power reserve comes in.
For example, Pams 8 days have a 8 day power reserve, means you wind once and it will last for 8 days. After 8 days without winding, the watch will stop. But if within the 8 days, you all can choose when to wind and you all will skip the trouble of setting?

I have two manuel winding watches, Stowa Antea and Magrette Pacific Chrono. I would fully wind the watch before I wear it. A full wind would normally last 40-45 hrs. If I plan to wear it on consecutive days, I would do the winding after a day, to ensure that the watch continues to function. For me, there is no specific interval to wind the watch. I will just wind the watch when I have nothing to do at work.

I prefer poking rather than screw and unscrew man! Easier and less prone to scratches

2. 8 days Power Reserve (read that actually it is more than 8 days)
3. Design
4. Transparent case back view though not the best of PAM

Yeah I m looking for custom straps now... but today holiday leh.... many shops close
And I thought the strap should be cheaper...but also cost about $1xx - 2xx

congrats! i'll say that 8 days makes alot of sense with hand wound movement. you enjoy just winding it up just once a week and take pleasure seeking it wind down daily. Another visual piece of enjoyment on top of the case back.

use wooden toothpicks to change straps, doubt it will scratch the watch. [edit: just read that yours may not be quick release. if so might just tape up that side and just poke through with screwdriver. takes a bit of getting used to but it works]

is that an original strap in the pic? looks nice, and as pointed out earlier, has a nice vintage look to it. quite "in" now...

Yes the leather strap looks damn nice but just little more tough to use. Now using Rubber strap...

For changing of strap I have to unscrew first before using toothpick to pop it out.
Just for screw and unscrewing is already enough chances to get the lug scratched
