Thinking of my next purchase, I'm stuck deciding between the AP RO 15300 and the classic submariner. I've heard that the AP shows scratches easily? Anyone with both can chip in their 2 cents? :s12:

I'd take the AP :)
Personally I dun care abt the scratches. My nautilus is scratched all over already.
But if u do then just be vigilant and careful but then you'd be so bothered while wearing it you can't really enjoy it...?

Anecdotally, my AP is much more accurate than the pam 233. Adjust it once a month instead of once a week for the 233 with the 8 days movement.

The AP showing scratches easily is due to the nature of its brushed finish. Can't run away from the fact that the rolex finish is less intricate and hence more resistant to scratching. The AP finish is also that much more unique... :)

I'd pick the AP in a heartbeat.. scratches are part and parcel of owning a timepiece..
