Don't know where your daughter works but 405 East 82nd Street #2J, New York NY For Sale - Trulia

Nah, I don't think most people expect a house for less than US $100k, I think $500k is an average price, which could get me the place I linked and idk, I think that would be enough for me. No need 3 room HDB size, I would live alone anyway :D

But thanks for sharing your daughters' experiences though, didn't know rental could go up to so high there because my relatives who stay there have their own places so they never mention rent or the likes. Time to be glad for $2k 3 room HDB rentals in SG lol
Rental is steep. Both in NYC and downtown SF. My 2nd one's apartment in NYC is even smaller than the listing you posted.

I can't buy property for them as I still have 2 more to put through university. Need to be careful with funds. But yes, if there were S$2k 3-room flat sized rentals in NYC or SF, they would be able to find room mates and cut their rental costs by a substantial amount, and hence have some money left over for savings. But as of now, I still need to help them out occasionally.

Bro, if you check my original post again, I didn't say NYC. I said NY. But yeah, ignorant kid here :)

The second link you posted is a class D4, which IIRC is a Coop building whereby you don't "buy" or "own" the property, but just shares of the cooperation that built the building.

No need to check dude.

Cbs is referring to New York, New Jersey state, USA
while you were referring Garnerville, New York state, USA.

Thou both are New York but the property pricing is Heaven and Hell...

3777-01, is gator strap, retails at about $6.4k from AD with discount. Depending on condition, it should be about 5k+? You may want to check some of the pre-own shops' prices.

Oic thx a lot. He is selling the gator strap & the steel bracelet at $6k. He told me he worn less than 3 times. It's like brand new. So advisable to take from him? Pawn shop take in IWC watches ??

yes seen your original post and yes I am happy u admit u are ignorant..
dont get when I state SF and U have to quote Garnerville, New York state, USA.

Singapore so small but prices still diff btw Red hill and woodlands. What about USA?

as for http://www.trulia.com/property/3033718833-405-E-82nd-St-2J-New-York-NY-10028#photo-2

554sq ft 1 bedroom cost US$389k but u forget the monthly HOA cost of USD$724!

When U get married U wanna sell? if not maintained well U have to pour USD$10K to fix it up and suffer the 6% in fees. if u think property price is going up think again its not evey place.

As for avg usd$500k LOL, don't go by here say. I live in states ofr over a decade maybe closer to 2 and been in 3 diff states. $500K can get a damn nice place in Dallas TX or somewhere in the midwest. as for big cities even for LA.. list price is not true selling prices. My pal at Torrence CA most of their neighbors are selling house usd$500k about asking price! kinda the same in the valley.

Realised I missed this watch quite a bit after forcing myself to wear my Rollies, IWC and Seamaster Bond Chronograph for the past few days. Absence makes the heart fonder? :)

No matter which angle I see, it still looks too big on you. Sorry

I think the next few questions you should ask him should be:

1. Local or overseas AD?
2. When the warranty was dated?

By the way, wanna tell you first that the pilot 3777-01 or 3777-04 you were talking about has that infamous "wobee" sound which is characterised by loud rotor movements due to the design of its base movement (modified from Valjoux 7750). Make sure you consider this point before you make the purchase.

And pawn shops seldom carry IWC watches and if they do, be prepared for a very significant discount when you sell it to them. Fact of life is that Rolexes are still pawn shops' favourite and it looks like this fact is here to stay for a long time to come.

Enjoy the hunting process!

Most watches wind clockwise. Haven seen one that winds via anti.

But u can feel the tension de when winding in the correct direction, no matter hw smooth the movement is.

Will hear the click click click sound right? When I tried to hand wind my fc clockwise, different feel when I wind my pam. However if I wind anti on my fc, got the click click sound

I think the clicking sound is not always present in all mechanical watches. But I would think it should be wound in clockwise direction for the most natural movement for a right hander.
