Hello Colin from Liverpool :vijayadmin:

those actual vintage cushion cased seikos look much much more refined in terms of proportions than these half-baked reissues :o

like the cushioned bellmatics and the 6139 chronograph
yeah i guess they had to bow down to popular demand for overall larger size, unlike Grand Seiko which has retained the classic 38/39mm for dress watch.

anyone owns rolex exp 2? i read about the differences about the old model and new model. (40mm,red second hand vs 42mm orange second hand). Personally i prefer the older model, but i think they are discontinued. anyone able to post some poison? :s13:

i prefer the previous gen one too. the current one hands and hourly markers are really thick.

I don't mind the orange gmt hands though, would be nice to put on an orange nato on that.

then again i prefer previous GMT Master II with metal bezel...the new ceramic ones are very dressy, doesn't fit with the rolex brand that i grew up with (world's best tool watch for professionals).

i find this kind of styled watch boils down to personal tastes. risky unless i know here tastes well.

another point of view- since you're paying anyway, just buy what you like

That cheaper than a Submariner?

Probably evenly priced... When i bought it, it was 6+k, subdate that time was also 6+k.
The 42mm exp2 seems to be selling for 10k+ now, same as subdate...

EDIT: read that new exp2 is 7+k only so subdate is more ex... paiseh
