Playing around with my friend's Carrera. Quite an updated model of mine previously, bigger dial (mine 39mm), day and date (mine date only), bracelet feels different too. Happy hump day

After discount about $4k+

What about IWC's movt? Heard it's also ETA and some don't recommend IWC because of that?

The basic models are using ETA. Higher end models use in-house movements.

But their 'famed' 7-Day movement is known to be notoriously inaccurate though..

Basic models as in the 7 days portoguese? So you guys don't recommend getting that?

7 days portuguese uses the in-house movement. Models like 3777, portuguese chrono uses heavily modified 7750.

If you google around you can find specs of their heavily modified movement, and discussions about it as well, the pros and cons, who prefer which. Done to death in fact. In the end each camp have their own supporters all with valid views.

As per usual, a watch is more than just it's movement. In house movement does not automatically guarantee it's better than a modified ETA/valjoux.

What we recommend < what you like.

I too guessed Sydney! Saw (the last photo) in some video and I when I saw his, it reminded me of that video.

Australia was on my bucketlist for travel.

New York City took it's place now.

Sorry a562140, Steinhart will be on hold :s13:
