May I just find out here how you guys feel about Hublot vs say ROLEX(R) and Panerai(P)?

Hublot has its own haters (more so than P and R by my estimates). Gaudy outrageous designs are what comes to my mind first with eta movements. They have some nice big bangs that have that octogonal AP RO look. My lady colleague has their lady pieces and they look good. I believe they have 1 or 2 in-house movements now but are definitely much slower than P in churning them out. Look at how fast P has done it since 2002. R instead adopts safe and tested designs and needless to say all contain in-house movements. Price wise I think all 3 are around the same range.

If u are a fan of Maradona then Hublot is it.

I always feel Hublot is for people who want AP but won't stretch to fork out AP money

Another hoot...but it's my dad's hoot. Although I had some part in convincing. I'll borrow it from time to time. The box is such a nuisance, it's so huge...

A little offtopic, but just amazing on how well berluti bags are done. Haven't been excited by such a bag in a long while. Goes well with my watch of the day as well.

The colour very nice. Don't think I will spend that much on a laptop bag. Will get OGL to customise a bag of similar looks when my new office laptop arrives.

Today some of my camp mates see my watch say seiko is Sehkor (moldy), is uncle brand. Told me shld follow the trend and go for their overpriced Daniel Wellington watch..

It's difficult to find people around my age to appreciate watch movement..

End of the day,it's a berluti. Same reason why I choose a Lange over a casio.

Or a berluti shoe over ed et al, of which I have both.

:)
