Today some of my camp mates see my watch say seiko is Sehkor (moldy), is uncle brand. Told me shld follow the trend and go for their overpriced Daniel Wellington watch..

It's difficult to find people around my age to appreciate watch movement..

Ok I need to get some feedback here, whether my eyes are starting to "uncle-fy". Yeah this is a vintage looking Seiko and some equate Vintage with Uncle/Old but it is a sporty model. Comparsons with DW aside I don't think its uncle is it?

Well....but I can see how prejudice can taint one's eyes.

The Seiko looks good and it's definitely not uncle looking.

Here's my Seiko for today. Am I an uncle?

People also say Rolex is uncle watch. But who will complain if you can afford one? It's the basis for buying the watch. If it's to mark a milestone/achievement in your life/career, you won't be affected by watch people say. If you are so concerned, why not think about why you wanna buy the watch in the 1st place?

just got myself a DAVOSA Classic automatic watch
Swiss made!
They're moving away from ETA movements and this piece comes with a SW200 movement.

As long as you like it, it's fine! :)

However, IMO, I would get a Sumo for less and keep the rest of the cash for other things.
