Hi guys, any seasoned Rolex owners here? I currently own a Sinn, hand itchy to get a Rolex. I like the rugged, daily beater look of submariner and deepsea models, any recommendations on those with high resale value? Considering the GMT series as well

Which Sinn did you commit? Sure you want a Rolex for beater...a Sinn is probably the better beater. How's the tegimented steel doing?

Any rolex pros can advise is 116610 LN Submariner Ceramic for 8kSGD preowned with some scratches on clasp and bracelet worth it?

My colleague bought a new one for $10200 2 months back, so I think it's better better to save for a new one.

Wah went to research a bit more on Sinn ( as the name itself put me off). But now very tempted by the U1 there most popular model that is made off the actual metal of a German submarine. Quote from Sinn website:

Sinn does good watches, not just history but practical, working watches for the german military/security forces e.g. the GSG9 counter terrorist forces.

To me the 142 with lemania 5100, EZM1 and possibly the 103 ti testaf are the best and most iconic in their range.

That sinn submarine steel is the real deal, its really harder than normal steel. Its also darker - making it a very nice tool watch material. May be splitting hairs, but if you're interested in materials, check out Damasko's ice-hardened steel that claims to be one of the hardest if not hardest steel available on a watch.

Hi,

I actually got the Sinn U1 White limited edition 2 years ago from an overseas AD since local AD's were out of stock and no one was selling second hand locally. I took quite a while to find one and it was the last one from the overseas AD so it's definitely holding a special place in my heart.

The case and 'submarine steel' is holding up very well, almost no damage to the watch head (crystal has abit of AR coating wear which is a common problem), and it's design is definitely very unique. I'm looking for a rollie mainly because I'm looking to change to a more recognisable brand. If not for this, I wouldn't be selling my Sinn at all as it's definitely very hardy. Having handled several rolexes, I can say that the Sinn will outperform in terms of being a 'daily beater'.

SINN EZM3 is my first watch over 1k. Like the rest of the bros here said, it is tough!
One of my daily beater for a long time. And it still looks as good as new, without much scratches

Go and get it!! It is indeed a tough and trusty watch. I use it as a daily beater. But trust me there, you would be eyeing on other watches after getting this.

My accredited checker, counter signing officer,auditor aka THE WIFE says it looks very ordinary...she doesn't see all the macho engineering going into it. Hee. Anyway I'm thinking in terms of workmanship and quality wise. Probably spend the dough elsewhere or no where hee hee.

If it's still less than 2 years and under warranty , then it isn't a bad deal provided it comes with full set.
