Its different. Trust me.

I was going for the deepsea sea dweller as 40mm rolex were getting too small for me. The dssd didnt have enough wrist presence.

Went to try the pam24 and got hooked. Since already at pam, either go big or go home LOL. End up with the 47mm pam305. Love the see thru caseback.

My wrist is too small, couldn't "go big", that's why I "go home" without a Pam. LOL.

But she's really not into timepieces, I can try again though. Agree that Omega Constellations are really great for ladies.

Maybe if you get something more jewelry oriented design? I like chopard's happy diamonds though...

Well here's something you can get for 30k... USD.

Sorry snowy's 30k budget just got me too excited. Yeah get something that actually appreciates in value like that 1978(?) sub. Was thinking get something with a really nice intricate display of the movement at the back....but oops that excludes Rolex.

Pricey to be sure, but I figure if you can spend 30 grand on a rolex right now, you're probably able to save up and spend more on something that's really grail in the rolex world... and of course, we'll get to see a timepiece like that in this thread!

Haha previously received their brochure and looks pretty unique with those diamonds 'running' around inside.

Dunno the model number but that's what I was told when I asked for the price of the submersible from Cortina, similar to yatto's.

@yattokame

Just asking out of curiosity, how huge are your wrists?

Should edit my statement to clarify a bit, cause was thinking maybe Snoweagle like my figure type (1.74m, 55kg), so quite skinny armed, struggle with larger watches.

Was just thinking out loud, apologies if I offended anybody.

Thanks rachdanon for the advise! Maybe could just save more money and get the sub or sea dweller.

whatever you decide the watches we are discussing here belong in the luxury purchase category; i don't about how you and your wife makes decisions about such topics, but be responsible ... no point having nice watches and unsupportive wife, i'd call that a problem, not a hobby ;)

azrielsc has the 389...... i didnt pick that model because it has no see thru caseback, and the dark bezel makes the watch look smaller.

more importantly.....it's more expensive :s12::s13:

Haha but highly unlikely a watch for her. Already gave her a Mont Blanc ballpoint pen.

A bit OT but was in the office lift with a guy who pulled off a Panerai on his wrist well, then I thought, maybe it could be me.

Suddenly i remembered guy was a fair few CMs taller than me, and about 1.6 times me breadth wise.

Note to self: If I ever have to shop 42mm and upwards watches in the future (right now still saving), an "extended test drive" is required.
