They would have ready made straps that you can pick and choose but from what I know, Hobbylink has vintage style straps as compared to JnS which has "smooth" & "clean" looking straps.

I have something similar but it's from Malio straps and is called Legno. Took 2 months to come because I ordered a brass buckle and have it engraved from Greece to be sent to Malio to be sewn into the strap before sending it to me.

I saw a Monaco in the outlet mall. Can't remember which model but pricing was attractive.

You didn't mention which city you're going to. If it's a big city probably there will be at least one rolex AD. Search Internet to find out. That's what I did before going to Genoa. AD in Italy can bargain one. With my Panerai and rolex purchases, both offered 10% off retail straightaway. With the recent rolex purchase, because my friend also got an explorer 2, we got both watches for 11000 euros, which was additional 500 euros off.

After exchange rate and tax refund, it's cheaper than grey dealer - I used Yeokimchoy as benchmark.

I'm headed to Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan...I'll do my checks on the ADs, but any city from the above is a preferred one for best deals?

If you are already going to the mall, can check it out pricing there is good.

Depends on the refund service provider. For my purchase because combined at 11,000, we got 15% back! For transaction around 5,000 euros was 14% if not wrong.

I think best to email the ADs and ask which models they have in stock. As for bargaining skills depends on you... I only bought once in Milan (2012) and Genoa (2014) so no comment on the other cities.

agree... italy is a good place to hoot new watches, but do take note that if it is preowned... no tax refund

errr i think it's supposed to work this way?

the "big" second hand is actually the chronograph timer hand which only runs when activated.

the actual second hand is the hand in one of the subdial (lower one in your case). most, if not all, chronographs work this way.

Yeah tt wats i read... but i tink before i start the chronograph is like using the big sec hand to work though... then the smaller dial like all stationery... or i could have seen it wrong the entire time... hmml...
