i like bell and ross...pushed a new direction and succeeded in owning the segment. pricing for new is a bit high IMO, however it holds its value in the used market. The new vintage officer vintage designs look great; i kinda feel that a lot of watchblogs gave Bell and Ross too much stick for what it deemed as copying, but turn a blind eye to the top brands when they do it.

their flight instrument watches are not worth it, just buy their signature "square" watches like the 03-92 steel series. They cost 4000+ before discount. Still ok... of coz some ppl would argue that their movement is only ETA .. lol

Davosa 500m looks crazily similar to rolex sub. How much is it selling for? Since i probably wouldnt be paying that kind of price for a watch. I do like the sub looks. Anyone care to share??

Finally got my Black Bay but am thinking of changing to leather strap instead, so might have to sell my BB in bracelet (red).

Anyone interested do let me know. Brand new unworn, local AD full set with all stickers.

Been eyeing it since 2012 Basel and FINALLY got it lol.

You are selling the bracelet or the whole watch? Why not just keep the bracelet and change the strap?

sub at $11,200 might as well buy KLM ticket ($999 now), go to italy and purchase - even before tax rebate the watch will be around $9000. ;)

Exactly my point. As I've said previously we live in a globalised and connected world. There are so many ADs all over the world. Just call or email them, get their best prices and you compare with our local ADs prices. Take advantage of the currency differences, tax rebates and not having to pay 7% GST.

there are watches out there that costs >$10,000 with eta movements, and a lot of better brands use ETA based movements with a slight (read:insignificant) modification to call it in-house. so to each his own. for me Bell and Ross is about style/fashion so if like just buy lor.

one thing that strikes me is that while initial depreciation may be steep for some, certain models hold their worth very well in the used market.

what happened ? i'm still eyeing a gps-sync watch and looking at the f100, astron or the wave-ceptor. How did you choose ?

Well, maybe i meddle with the watch setting too much, mechanism need to be changed when i send in for service. For analog GPS watches, casio s gpw1000 is the cheapest $999 retail.

Astron cost 2k, F100 about 2k or below. Else casio s MRG/MRG, Oceanus all cost above 2k. GPW has a more rugged look.

The selling point of F100 is that citizen claims the watch can acquire satellite signal in 3 secs. My gpw1000 takes 30-60 secs to get it lol. Astron not too sure.

Depends on which style u want.

7% gst not exactly a given anymore these days..
