The More u Get Acquainted, the More You'll Love it ...

That's the beauty of Seiko JDM and Steinhart.

Used to think that Rolex, Omega and Panerai are everything in my world of high-end Swiss watches. Little did I expect Seikos and Steinharts to steal so much limelight from their bigGER brothers of late ...

Why do they make so few pieces of these beauties ...

I have the MM300 and still thinking of the Sumo. But I would prefer 28800 bph for my next watch.

I am absolutely confident that the Sumo (or Blumo) looks more handsome than the MM300 in person. Actually their second hand sweeps look and feel very similar to me TBH. However I must admit that the galore of gorgeous MM300 pics on the Internet makes for a strong urge to purchase the MM300 instead of the Sumo.

Best solution is to have BOTH though!
It should be a lot easier for you since you've bought the pricier sibling already =p

Shogun is an absolute beauty too... :)

Would have given this watch a 10/10 if not for the awkwardly short hour hand ... Otherwise would have gotten this watch instead of another Sumo (Black).

Among the Sumos, BLUMO is the number 1 looker IMHO.

Planning a trip to Japan - Any place to go to look look see see pre-owned rollies etc...?

Thanks in advance.

Yo

Tokyo wise....
Shinjuku theres a GMT shinjuku
Nakano there are jackroad and kamekichi at braodeay nakano (15min from shinjuku)

Else there are plenty of branches of komehyo, daikuroya, etc all over. And many other smaller shops which doesnt have eng websites aplenty.

Nagoya wise.....
Komehyo HQ is there. Second floor is full of jap watches and also a corner for swiss. Massive floor.

Osaka i rem seeing quite a few watch shops along shinsaibashi.

true on the short hand, i believe its there to complement the sharp 12oclock marker. some remedied by changing to mm300 hands... but modding a near $1k watch ??? :s11:

i like the hour hand just the way it is. Has a more serious tool watch streak with that striking over-specced hour hand, matching the bigger dial.

the very sharp pointy design also gives the 007 the most "garang" edge of all the Seiko divers.

Guys , my friends saw the seiko fff mod and are interested

So basically we can buy the watch off skywatches (example) then ship the dial and hands from dagaz then bring to k2 to mod?

yep that's it. "yobokies" is another major supplier of mod-watch parts.
