i'm going to suggest that you forget your "buy and done" since you are young, and live a little (not to the point of YOLO), buy smart and buy used, and have a little fun.

i don't normally judge people and their watches but i'd definitely be more cautious than usual if i'm dealing with an 18 y.o. with a PP/ALS/AP than one with NO watch.

Be more cautious..?

I'm a student..:(

I'm not trying to buy or sell anything to anyone here..:o

If you want to wear the watch to xian XMM, then I don't think you should care about what the uncles say and just follow your little brother :s13:

On that note, guys know any good, reputable dealers to buy preowned watches? I think currency exchange rates are pretty reasonable now and am considering purchasing a 1931 Reverso.

And IMO, I feel it's only satisfying to buy something from own earnings, then it will be special.

Reminds me of the first watch I ever bought with my own earnings. I was 19 (no pun intended) and serving NS. Bought a watch for my mom (cant remember it was mother's day or her birthday) as her old watch was really getting cui. Still remember hiding the watch in my cupboard. On the actual morning, woke up early and put the watch into her drawer, and went back to bed acting sleep.

Her reaction when she woke up and opened the drawer ... priceless. Had almost completely forgotten about this until charleslin's post.

I know there are some seiko fff owners here. If you are no longer loving yours i'm looking to buy only the below configuration only. Drop me a PM. :D

I'm still looking for the above seiko fff configuration. The exact dial configuration.

Strangely I can't find a lot of preowned 112 for sale but no one wants to buy or enquire about mine as well ever since I put it up for sale. Any idea if the 112 is going to be discontinued?

Me too waiting for 000 to be discontinued :D

Feeling some quartz love today.. and yes it really does copy the IWC port chrono design. All for a good $25. :D

yeah i know its really hard to get good pics of GS due to the highly reflective surfaces and the details in the sunburst texture on that dial.

send it to me for a week and let me see what i can do :D

more seriously thats the sbga095 limited edition brown dial right? i nearly went for that before i settled on a basic black.

for Grand Seikos it must be seen and held in hand to appreciate the quality and the mini light show in your hands :s22:

trust the guys with the brightest lume possible to give it up and pursue no lume in their top end watch!

so good i'm quickly losing interest in all swiss watches. maybe the 60's seiko tagline is finally coming true:

"SOMEDAY ALL WATCHES WILL BE MADE THIS WAY".
:s12:

Yupx you got it right. Sbga095 6.1k sgd for this after much bargaining (5% off >_> talk for 2 hours at vivo seiko boutique).
