Technically not an orange boy, orange boy has white subdials, and also far more pricey... That's why I think I settle for one more 1163v and I'll be happy, it's far more affordable!

The top left is the seamaster 120 big blue chrono. Except it's missing the bezel insert, and the crystal is banged up quite bad. I've got a replacement crystal, and the bezel insert is on it's way. Anyone has any idea what place locally is good and able to work on these vintage Omegas, e.g. bezel swap on speedy, crystal swap, etc.? I asked Mr Goh at K2 but he can't help with either case...

Can ask Lu Ann vintage, I did mine there

Back in town for a week! A happy family reunion:

Thinking of selling the Crepas to focus purely on vintage though. Maybe when I'm back for good in July.

That VDB looks huge, which series is it? Or is it a VDB?

So what I gathered is those just "made it in life" and want to announce to the world buy a Rolex. Then those past that stage and want a non overstated elegance buy a Patek. Rolex is wear everyday watch Patek is a safe queen.

:s13:

haha rolex is wanting to tell everyone that they can afford it.
because its the world's most recognized watch brand out there.
but it is true.

patek is for the UPPPPPPPPPPPPPP there one.
who demand subtle, not too loud watch design with amazing complication, for themselves.

2 different market. 2 different price.
but its good to have both haha

After all, you can’t drive your Porsche into the boardroom, but you can wear a luxury timepiece. In this case, a patek will be the best choice if you can afford
kope from a site talking about harvey specter lol

Patek's business model is to be out of reach for the regular luxury watch collector. If you start seeing too many with a Patek then its a signal to them to raise prices even higher, the more the prices are out of reach and exclusive (Veblen good) the more attractive for their target market.
