i do not need to have chrono, but i like the look, with more dials (if i call it correctly)

JLC seem like a good choice.
1. in house and reliable movement used by alot of others.
2. nice design
3. though poor resell value, (i think i need to look past this) since i wld not be selling in the next 10 yrs i think.

my seat is really corrosive which the normal leather strap i dun think can take. just to share how bad are my sweat, though not as bad as sea water
e.g 1. i ever had a metal spectacles which corroded very badly and was cuting into my skin
2. when i sent in my gshock to the service centre, the service personnel mention she never see the watch in such dirty condition, though i clean with toothbrush every now and then (at least once in 2 weeks.)

was reading in one the forum someone saying the JLC choices in singapore are quite limited, will have to shop around somemore to check out.

when i go into the JLC site seem like less bracelet option though from watch quote there seem to be a couple of options.
was wodering whether we can get the seller to change to bracelet?
would it still be the original jlc bracelet?

personally i wld consider the following:
1. master chrono
2. master calender
basically from this sort of looks.

My 2 cents is to just go for what u like. 10 diff people will give u 20 diff opinions. End of the day it's your hard earned $ and what makes u happy, n not what others think, that should matter most. Daytona is a handsome chrono. Detractors say it is cliched (as with other rolex models) but see my earlier point about what matters most when spending your own $ for yourself.

I saw some U Boat recently. It looks good and Tough. Is U boat a brand worth buying? Price from 8k up. The sales said now have 20% discount.

Good watches IMO. I own two of them, bought from overseas. Local dealer prices are way overpriced.

I'll pick the Pelagos. Not a big fan of that over-sized crown on that Zenith.
Else wait for the new Pelagos with the new in-house movement. But it has a wall of text on the dial which doesn't go down well with many pple.

1. Understand reliability isn't accuracy
2. If you cannot stomach poor resale value buy grey or pre own.

3 if u work in harsh environment and you sweat a lot u have to wash daily not twice a week, even watch has high resale value after a beating it will not be worth much. Resale value depends on condition! Note you have to service watch every 5 yrs (stay to it as you beat it up easily if u choose to wear daily)

4 what is your dream watch if you stating you plan to sell and upgrade? How much the watch cost today?

5 master collection typically no steel bracelet option, if discontinued then harder to find bracelet option thru dealer
If you can find suitable bracelet to replace iirc it's like 2k

both very different:
- pelagos is a classic diver, quite mainstream
- zenith type 20 is a historic piece though i feel that either the very historically driven or trendy collectors appreciates...not so much the regular watch guy

so it comes down to what you want, in my mind the biggest difference between the two would be standing out (zenith type 20) or fitting in (pelagos).

btw if you are getting the pelagos good to know that there is a 2015 release with new movement

It's really up to your preference both on different design
I like the zenith gmt design, this unfortunately it's a SW! New I think going back to elite.
Tudor is currently on ETA, new in house. Tudor trying to break away from the shadow of Rolex. New Tudor price is like $500-700 up
