New models got quick set date... but really too many on the streets, offices, clubs, etc to get me excited..

As long as it's not perpetual calendar watch you have adjust accordingly. Watch will not auto detect and change date accordingly

Thanks for the reply, so for my date to completely changed from 4-5 at 1am is completely fine or should I go down to the nearest shop to get it checked?

Perfectly normal and I will say it's better than most watches already. I think my Seiko watches only fully change after 3am but those are the entry models. Never bothered me cos I almost never am wearing watches at that time

you got my explanation wrong :)

What patryn and I meant is that there is nothing wrong with your watch.

my wife has a quartz watch which has a day-date function from 25hours. the day-date function will change to the new day & date around 3 to 4am.

Some Citizen models, e.g. Citizen BL5250-02L has lume (but not as nice), perpetual calendar, and about the price point, WR 200m, but the second hand ticks not sweep!

I guess can forgo the perpetual calendar, not too 'useful' right? Gives me less chance to fix the date. I want overnight lume though, so I have to look for a diver?

Buying from steinhart direct means have to pay for the gst right. Anyone managed to avoid it.
