Nope, but the blue dial is discontinued
Was on a movie date with my Mrs. After the movie it was around 12am and I had the shock of my life!
At 12:05am, the date only begin to slightly move! My assumption was that the date change would be immediate and you could imagine my emotions then. I immediately panicked and googled for answers. To my relief,
I came across this post at WUS by member not12bhere.

"The mechanism takes a long time to change the date. I mistakenly believed this would be an 'instant' date changeover, but it actually is a 30+ minute adventure in unreadable dates at an often random start and completion time. Also, because it does not simply change dates at or near midnight, my not-inexpensive Lange 1 actually displays the wrong date for several hours a week late in the evening and early in the morning. Seems like a deficiency in the design left in place to lower the parts' count and lengthen the power reserve time. Also, the fact that the independent date discs are not level with each other, while not always obvious, is an indication of an imperfect mechanical solution which mars an otherwise near-perfect watch face. I recognize this is an homage to historical German watchmaking but I think ALS should have worked closer with their partner (JLC?) in updating the outsize date mechanism for its re-introduction."
As I reached my car, it was about 12:30am and the date finally changed. Fyi, mine is a pre-owned, still the old calibre. The new model has immediate date change.
Here's a backshot with a lovely travel pouch given to me when I changed to a short strap at the ion boutique.
Fyi, the price of the boutique edition platinum 1815 is 48k b4 discount.
Thanks for sharing my excitement.
