Anyone seen the Pancor Watch Kickstarter Project? Design reminds me of the B&R design, especially the matte black and biege combination.

Pricing seems fair, I like that they use the Seiko Mecaquartz movement. Not sure if they're using DLC or PVD for the matte black casing (they mentioned DLC at first, then mention it's PVD later so :s22:) but looking at the price, should be PVD.

Might be OT, but seeking advice on a Speedmaster Professional. Two things.

Are the second hand ones (as in a few years old, lightly used ones) worth it, and if so, where should I look toward for stock?

If the price differential is not too awesome though, then is new a better idea?

Precisely i recognise his posts are informative which is y i suggest for him to use english so that more readers can benefit. But end of the day this is the internet and each has his right of use so long as not against forum rules. Just thought i chip in the 2 cents of stating the obvious to him, no harm trying heh
too many focus to sell brand.
walk the Rolex, Dunhil walk, rely selling to get loud on name.
ROLEX England sucess,
DUNHIL also sucess,
BREMONT sell high, people like brand name will follow. especialy some number asian. "more expensife, more good" mah...

normal price england brand not no have, Christopher Ward, SMITHS, SEWILLS。。。many other.
problem is how many you know, how many you ok?

Which is weird since he writes in English in the other forum :s22: :s22:
My engish tui-bo many... other pos i make my girlfend pos one... she sama sama hoppy.

New vs preowned vs price is pretty subjective, do a search on watchrecon.com and eBay to do benchmarking on the preowned pricing

As for where to get, it's largely local vs foreign depending on your risk appetite.
Local dealers are what has been mentioned before.
For overseas, Omegaforums.net has got a sales section where there are some dealers who gets good condition or uncommon models with good references.
eBay is the Wild West, always insist PayPal.

Thanks!

Maybe I should clarify some points. If say some of the nicer nearly new ones (like the ones from Japan around 4200 all in) vs a new one around the 4900 mark, how should I swing?

As for condition, it will be a daily wear, so not too fussed about bracelet scratches, but not interested in a half thrashed example either.

And with regard to local dealers, which are some of the ones to check out, especially those that may say specialize in Speedies?

Just had a look. The hands (hour and minute) seem a bit too short to my liking. But still looks good

I'm not sure, as there are many variables in play... Personally though I'll look for a 20% price gap for a preowned if the model is still in production, and the condition is acceptable to me.

I have not dealt with many local dealers, from what I can see there isn't any that specializes in omega specifically.

Doesnt come across that way to be plain honest. Typos look deliberate than genuine mistakes and not commensurate with your understanding of english as evidenced by coherent replies in canto in response to english posts.

But i said my 2cents i'll leave it as such.

hi all, heading back to sg at the end of this year, thinking to service some of my watches. apart from the swatch service centre, can anyone recommend a good watchshop that can do the same for less? Not talking luxury brands here, just hamiltons, tissots and steinharts.

any help rendered appreciated!
