Fwah, maybe it's the angle but it looks like the dial of the 372 alone is the size of your wrist already.

depends on luck i guess... original price was bargained down to 5,500 (i think list was 6,300 back in Dec '14). my friend was offered explorer 2 at 6000. I told the manager, we buy together, what more can you offer? And he took extra 500 euros off, so total of 11,000 euros for both watches. :D

Paris - EUR6,500 (IIRC) before 16.66% tax refund = ~SGD8,600 (no stock though)

Isle of Man - GBP5,000 before tax refund, GBP4,166 after = ~SGD8,900 (firm on no further discount because he says Sub isn't hard to sell at all)

Above for 114060.

It's interesting because you don't see many Parisians wearing modern Rolex subs, GMTs, daytonas etc. In fact I struggle to recall seeing anything more than 1 in the wild, in the past year. I conclude it's probably the tourists that account for sales, in which case it's impossible to negotiate discounts unless you're making a bulk purchase.

I guess it's just the wrong european city to buy Rolexes in... I had a friend that got a BNIB from Chuan Watch recently, AD was from portugal. And yes, the Genoa AD mentioned that most of the business was from tourists.

I was at Le Comptoir Du Relais in Sept 2012 and remember a Parisien dude wearing the 116610LV at the next table during lunch. That's why the bug bit me and I recently traded my 114060 for it... :D

Then again, just because he was speaking french doesn't necessarily mean that he wasn't a tourist... but damn, that watch looked good on his wrist!

Naw, he was probably French, your hit rate is as high as mine then!

And comptoir du relais, I've been there with my gf! It's about 12 mins walk from where I stay, which is also in the 6th. Had to sit outdoors in the fall though, the inside is always fully booked way in advance...
