Anyone here use those ultrasonic jewelry cleaners for their bracelets? Thinking of hooting 1 from qoo10 at $40 but not sure whether it really works.

Guys,

I'm deciding between SRP637K1 (Baby Tuna) and SBDC001(Sumo). Are they both very different in terms of specs? The baby tuna is about $4xx and Sumo is $6xx. Is the Sumo worth about $200 more?

Which one is more worth as first watch?

Hope to hear inputs as still a newbie here.

erm, if this is your first watch, i would say sumo. cleaner dial, better hands(imo), overall a cleaner design which means easier to go from casual to formal. i think you can get sumo for around 550sgd. plus if you want a tuna, get the real deal. best if you go handle a sumo first. like the video above show. look at the finishing on the case, nicely brushed top and polished sides. plus you need to go wus to know why this watch is so revelled at this price range.

I would choose Sumo too. A better movement and it's a JDM model.

JDM and frankly the sumo is worth its weight in gold. The prospex series I feel is for casual wear. I usually pair with jeans. Formal attire sumo still can cut it, better than the 637 imho.

Alright guys! Thanks for the input. So only BigTime in SG have Sumo right? Does K2 have it too?

Btw, does JDM model means Made in Japan?

Big Time can do the importing for you if they do not have stocks. I doubt K2 have Sumo for sale. The Seiko boutiques may have them but it's overpriced for sure.

Normally JDM means it's for Japanese market consumption (Seiko Japan don't market them to overseas consumers). You can see MIJ watches being sold internationally, so JDM = MIJ does not equate.

Get your Sumo online from jap retailers like higuchi and chino watch. $399 usd with shipping included, just need to factor in GST but you're still better off than buying locally. Unless you wish to see the watch in person before buying, otherwise get it online.

I wish to see it in person and try it on my small wrist first. haha Then maybe get it online. But will jap retailer make sure the watch is in good condition before they send them out?

Japan Domestic Market/Model (JDM) as one of the forumer mentioned, it's available only for their domestic market. They are known to keep the best stuff for themselves.

Realized that I have yet to answer the MIJ part. I've read about Sumo watch cases being MIC. Go search the Internet.
