guys i need some advices on what i experienced today.


i was wearing my tudor black bay, was bored and observed my watch closely. Found a few hairline scratches on the hour hands.

Not too obvious when viewed normally but if one intentionally look at the spot at a particular angle, its visible.


my black bay is close to 2yrs old and there are actually other typical cosmetic issues in the dial like dirt in dial etc.


my qn is will u guys send the watch in to get it fixed.

my concern is getting my watch back with more issues after fixing it which most service centers here are notorious of..

My personal take is that.. I wouldn't send it in to get it fixed as it will probably return with more problems.

Unless there is really a major problem regarding the time keeping of the watch (power reserve, accuracy), then I would send it in, otherwise I feel it is better to just look past those tiny issues and enjoy the watch as it is.

I feel that once a watch is opened up after leaving the factory, it will probably never be the same again as per factory standards.

Yes. Personally i'll only fix it if there's problem with the movement or its accuracy. Dust will be the main concern once they open ur case to change the watch hands.

ya i guess because we pay a premium price for swiss watches, our expectations goes up.

weird how my black bay has dust particles in dial, hairline scratch on hands whereas my seiko is flawless :s13:

i shall keep it then
