Happy Birthday Singapore!

I think the mark of any truly good birthday is when one, and most of the people associated with it, can feel happy and at peace just doing what they enjoy on a weekend.

For me, that was a nice breakfast, then kicking back with the newspapers, and some classical music in the background, then drifting off into a relaxed mental state. Simple pleasures, but greatly appreciated indeed.

On the side note, anyone bought SG50 commemorative watches? I find all those CMI leh. Went to see the ball at vivo, too big and gimmicky. The orient looks not bad, anyone knows where to buy it?

Saw a JLC Reverso in the newspaper today. Basically its the same Grande Reverso Night/Day people like, but with the other side featuring an inscription of Singapore in red and white. Now that looked okay.

@all in a day. True, but sometimes I marvel a bit at how Singapore's relative peace let us just indulge in relaxing, rather than incessant fretting.

Hi nice strap! How much is it, where to get it and is the strap very thick thus making it hard to tuck away the excess strap? Thanks!

The strap is from woodnsteel, it is very soft and wears comfortably. You can easily tuck it in.

The LV one looks like ****. Seriously man a red bold SIN and says it's SG50 limited edition?! Same for the longines.Hublot not even SG50, instead it's celebrating their 10yrs in SGP. JLC and Ball no effort.. at least put singapore landscape on the back case like what panerai did for their SGP special ed. only legitimate nice offerings are from orient IMO. What do u guys think?
