Saw the Sinn 1800 S Damaszener photos this morning, damn chio  I'll love to use that as my go-to dress watch but at the price tag of almost 8kusd and only 100 pieces, I doubt I can own it. But will continue to keep an eye out for future watches with cases made out of forged carbon or Damascus steel.

Yep, I noticed that too. Gorgeous piece, but the price is horrendous.

BTW, what are the perks of Damascus steel in terms of technology?

AP Royal Oaks..... belong to the category of watches that I will only buy after getting my own place :s13: But I am aiming for a Panerai and Blancpain FF before that.

For now, the OT500 is OTW, Gruppo Gamma Vanguard will be OOS until December, next watch is a full out Seiko FFF mod and a Prometheus Poseidon maybe early next year.

I will say that Damascus steel doesn't have too much additional benefits over normal watches when used to make watch cases, it's mostly aesthetic.

Damascus steel is more commonly found as knife/sword blades because it can be polished sharper, and more shatter resistance, important properties for blades but not so much for watches.

Just got this ytd after searching high and low! Managed to find it in a small watch shop in the end.

My wife says it looks like a children's watch on my hand, does it? Its the SKX013

what are the better options for a budget of 500-700 for an automatic dive watch with bracelet? am thinking of buying a watch, but there are sooo many that i like. thought of getting steinhart, but it looks too much like a rolex. dont mind reputable microbrands also.

I would go with the Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military. Although it's a Rolex homage, it's not TOO similar to the Sub homages, at least this does not have the Mercedes hands (which I hate).

Seiko has plenty of options, both modded and unmodded, with shrouds too, all within your budget.

除佐STEINHART之外,少过700蚊既仲有SQUALE同埋SANDOZ。
不过,近期比较平0既,又同“捞叻”大细相近0既。。。只有TISELL啦。

i like the OVM as well. but wanna find something with a fresh design. the lew and huey orthos catches my eyes. it's something like an omega PO, but there are some design cues which makes it not too similar.
