Ok guys.

If it's a choice between a 10 year old great condition Rolex 16570 polar and a Tudor Pelagos Blue, which would you choose?

Price not too far apart.

That's really hard to choose but I think still Rolex anyway. :s12:

Haha yeah true, will be bringing my Dad down on Wednesday to choose between these 2 :D

Hopefully can get a 15% discount :D

Just play the ai Mai ai Mai card. Say you interested but the price like not swee enough for me to pay now. Maybe I can wait for grey. But depends if they got hit sales target anot. If they need. Might give in.
Black bb I think 15% is max as of now.

Hmm Explorer ii not that nice looking if really want to compare to Tudor Pegalos, especially the grey bezel, unless you going for brand then Rolex, but personally I will go for the 16570 black dial, 10 years old it's very old model liao.

Like other bro suggested, if can up abit more for Submariner, $6xxx for no date, $7xxx for date.

Anyone got any suggestions for a budget for around $300?
I was thinking of getting a Tissot T Classic Tradition Silver Dial Brown from online grey market (Jomashop or Creationwatches) which is just around $300. Just need a simple watch like the Tissot T Classic with a date function.

Was actually also thinking about getting Seiko SNZG15 and replacing with a leather strap but that would mean I need to get watch winder and also stocks seems to be out on the Singapore site Creationwatches. And noticed that there are 2 versions of it, Seiko SNZG15J1 made in Japan and Seiko SNZG15K1 made in Malaysia but the made in Japan ones like OOS everywhere and left the Malaysia one. Any noticable differences besides the Made in Japan on face of watch?

Congrats on you buying your dad something nice! Ignore what that earlier poster said. Its a glorious thing to be able to give your parents something nice, which you also happen to like.

For me, the best thing is just to go down to the shop and let him explore all available options within your price range. You never know, he might fancy something different.

This always happen every time I recommend cars for friends. They name budget and what they want, I give them the best two options, they end up buying something completely out of the box.
