1. better for the symmetry, and a cleaner dial.
2. you won't be bothered with having to set the date.
3. a purer design expression that harkens to the original rolexes which have no date.
4. saves you $1.5k plus over the date model.
5. gives you a bit more power reserve since the movement doesn't have to drive the date wheel.

u know what.......your point, especially (1) & (2) really makes me wonder my preference for a date now.....

thanks for pointing those few pointers out! i tink i'll visit some Rolex store soon to try em out, see which one connects with me most but i'll definitely keep your points in mind!

Hi, I think what he meant is that Seiko offers solid watches and ranges that are within your budget. As opposed to being a 'fashion' brand.

如果錶帶兩邊是直的，錶帶彈簧針孔那邊與錶扣針孔那邊同樣的寬，那麼你該買的釦子應該與錶耳寬度相同。
如果錶帶兩邊是斜的，錶帶彈簧針孔那邊與錶扣針孔那邊同樣會有大概2毫米的寬度差距。那麼你該買的釦子應該以錶扣針孔那邊的寬度為標準。

all things aside, people whom think Seiko's are uncle brand and cheapo ugly watches are probably those with Marc Jacobs/Fossil/Police/Armani on their wrists

i may be wrong, but Seiko's movements are made in-house sometimes when im bored at work, i like to listen how smooth the tick tick ticks of my Seiko is as compared to my friend's Solvi & Titus which cost $500+~

I have gotten a non date submariner. Somehow i couldn't stand the date magnifier.

先不理款式還是設計，先理解為何這裡多數的師兄都建議你往精工那裡看。

精工錶，無論平價還是中價，採用的機械機芯都是公認的汗馬級機芯。平價，可修，又耐用。所以無論細用，還是粗用，都能耐上一段歲月。

現在談談款式與設計。
如果一家錶廠單單只靠一個受歡迎的設計還是款式的銷量來支撐公司的存活的話，基本上不會頂得過十年。。。百年更是不必談了。所以款式與設計上就該多樣化來迎合不同消費者的需求。如果你要避免買到時裝款的，就要避免那些由明星代言的款式，像LUKIA還是PREMIERE系列的。往其他錶款看看或許你能找到自己喜歡的款式。
