Maybe is used loosely? Capacitor seems to work like a battery too hahah

yes correct.

If you have fruit, a couple of nails, and wire then you can generate electricity to turn on a light bulb. Learn how to make a fruit battery. It's fun, safe, and easy.

;)

maybe its either or both depending on which perspective you take. The point is that the energy storage medium is NOT the regular zinc oxide battery you find in quartz watches. much longer lifespan, no fear of leaks. (but you do have to keep it charged)

[edit]

note last couple of points - "never needs a battery" and "7 years on a single charge".

also citizen research is claiming that the latest battery/capacitor can maintain 80% charge after 20 years...and could possibly last up to 40 years. current replacements at the 12 year mark is due to fully discharged watches.

Just wondering if the old seiko kinetic series, Issit it super it to solar? Movement can charge and store the electricity?

kinetic tech = convert movement into electricity
e.g. rotor generates electricity to store

if the watch isn't moved, there is no electricity generation.
that's where solar charging is vastly superior.

Nice bro, no difference right? Only dial is different?
Me really new to omega, impulse hahaha
Yesterday ask Liao, today wack

Ya I enjoy it, the quality is there and it's not expensive. I bought in Japan grey dealer so a bit cheaper than the grey here. Like the red checkered dial and thought it's going out of production so hooted it.
