Sorry I did not notice your Budget initially. I don't think there is any Swiss Made Perpetual Calender at that range yet. For your range you can only get something with minimal complication.

If it's not a matter of urgency, save more and hold out for something better. If you're only planning to have one good one especially.

A Submariner can be versatile for casual and business.

A Reverso is subtle and dressy. Another alternative could be a Cartier Tank.

I've never owned a Grand Seiko before. But their finishing and movement although not Swiss Made is also of high quality.

Can't comment much on a Tissot either, but with $10K - you have many varieties of choice if brand is not an issue.

Thanks good bro. I think your this JLC master ultra thin perpetual is above $20k right? For the steel one already close to sgd30k already right? Pls correct me if wrong. And not sure if still can find or not. But definitely its a watch i can aspire for. Will consider to save and hopefully can own it one day.

Quoting a review: "In short, Jaeger-LeCoultre has made this “complicated complication” even more accessible, and done so in an ultra-thin format. Of course we’re still talking perpetual calendar here so this watch is not going to be within reach of everyone. But there is no doubt in my mind that this new Master Ultra Thin perpetual will give many watch enthusiasts out there something they might not have had yesterday — hope. Hope that that they one day might be able to own a perpetual calendar, one of high watchmaking’s more exclusive complications. That’s something to aspire to!"

Sorry, one more question. How does JLC fare in terms of resale value and also the maintenance? Will it be difficult for aftersales service like seiko GS?

Actually im also looking for something universal all-in-one i can wear to most occasions, mostly for work and also can wear for casual & preferably have perpetual calendar, tourbillon and minute repeater features. Cos to me being able to see the date, day & month on a watch is important. Should be not too dressy, not too diver, not too pilot, not too sporty. Most of the times im stationed in office, but occasionally will get to see clients about a few times every quarter year. They are usually higher mortals like CEO, Kings, prince, sultan, sheiks etc. Appreciate yur advice, oh and below 1k please.
:vijayadmin:

pwillie... I think you have most of these... the challenge is to wear all of them together at the same time!!!

Opppssssss... I didn't see the 1k!!!

:D

My hope is not spend more than $10k to get a upper-middle level watch. I scare scarly turn out to be yet another tissot that gets spoilt within 3 months heartpain. I dont mind throw away $500. But throw away too much i nay not be able to survive from the trauma ordeal.

I always drop or bang my watch, dont think your suggestion can work.

A $10 k budget will get you a very decent watch but IMO it is not enough to get you to a upper-middle level watch.

It will allow you to get a watch with the renown brands like JLC, Rolex, IWC, Panerai but only the stainless steel models. U need to X3 your budget to even reach the base models for AP, PP, ALS.

Just go to Chuan Watch website and see the watches and pricing, its a good source of information on what you can get. Watches is very personal. E.g I used to hate Panerai but recently I just fell in love with it after reading its history, collaboration with Rolex 50 yrs back.

If i were to recommend, i hope you can up your budget by $2k more and get a Rolex GMT BLNR. It will serve you well.

Because you really is chui max and obviously we don't need a troll here. Get back to where your cave is la.

Don't buy any watches because anything you wear is a disgrace to the brand. Even DW. Lol. Suck it up bruh

No no no. Don't buy. You're a waste of time and everyone's time.
Which idiot will ask rolex down to GS then to seiko then to gshock and now go back to JLC.
You're not worth wearing those watches.
You're worthless
Lolol trolling

I don't see a lot of people selling their JLCs. If you are concerned with value. Only Rolex or Patek will do.

For JLC MUT Perpetual Calender. Steel is about SGD28,000. But the precious metal ones are nice in my view.
