I have a Speedmaster n a gmt. For some reason, omega price is all over the place unlike Rolex which is more consistent. I bought my Speedmaster tintin in Japan for 3.6k brand new, but in sg the boutique don't want to give discount (6k). U can go to jackroad / kame kinchi website n see - new omega is easily 30 percent below list price in Japan. So a 2nd hand is worth much much lesser. I seen those pieces in Japan being bought by sg pple to flip in SWX for 500 bucks profit..

My advise for omega is if u have a chance to go Tokyo - get it there. If not look for grey dealers in sg. Don't buy brand new from boutique - it's quite painful to know that the same thing is sold much lesser else where.
On Rolex if u can get a decent discount in local boutique 8% or more - just buy it there.

maybe I can go and hoot 1 new box speedy and sell here but the box is a real pain in the a$$

I would say solid but still lose to Rolex oyster links.
The clasp more solid than speedy but not as chio as speedy. Haha

while for the longines, a few months back i kena poisoned by the new longines pulsometer, till now the poison still has not wear off haha.

Seriously how much is your invetory as a percentage of your annual income(include typical bonus)? Very interested to know how wide the spread is... mine around 12%... I dun buy sell buy sell, so figure quite stable.

Hope you guys can share share a bit if not too sensitive.

There has been cases where never serviced before Rolex still working after decades...

My dad oris also didn't service b4 and wear daily... Since 1995.
Mum old titoni back in 1950s only get service when spring breaks. Happened 2 times iirc.

Rolex not doing miracles.

Those jlc 1950s atmos clock can go for 3-4 decades before servicing.

Have to agree really depends on commitment and preference.
If one makes a a lot of $$ the spending $300k on a watch can be peanuts
