Scratches on my speedy's sapphire crystal.

I thought poly watch is only for acrylic crystals? Works for sapphire too?
I got 1 from a repair shop uncle quite some time ago. Can't remember the price though.

I don't think you can polish sapphire at all.... If really have scratches on sapphire, you have to replace the whole thing. That's one of the disadvantages of sapphire: It might be very resistant to scratches, but it's also very resistant to polishing :s13:

i forgot about taking photo of the before. :s13:
But now i'm confused that i'm able to remove the "scratches" on the crystal with polywatch. Don't tell me that it's actually an acrylic crystal instead of sapphire. How do i differentiate between them?

check your warranty card and then google the omega website with exact model number. if it is a vintage, highly likely to be hesalite/acrylic.

I believe the trend of sapphire crystals started with more modern speedies. wait for other sexperts to consperm. :D

correct, not cheap to operate a factory in German leh.. also if its house brand, why he did not stated in his website ? wondering does Dievas really belong to him ? also there is quite a number of retailers spread out in different countries....

Bro patryn33 , you bought your Dievas from ? any comments of this watch ? Thanks

no right or wrong, just buy what you prefer from who you prefer.

me - i like buying microbrands where I can identify with owners on the website and message them directly. e.g. magrette - dion/thailand, promethean - carlos/portugal, halios - jason/canada etc. with a real touch.

even aquadive - they are a larger outfit but have a small but personable team, can reach out to ask them questions and they are responsive.
