Hi All,

I have gotten a pair (man and woman) Ball Fireman Victory as wedding gifts. Now I am thinking selling it. Any place that I can go to sell my watch?

fastest is pawn shop or a 2nd hand watch dealer like hjwatch.

if can wait, sell on facebook or forum like SWX/sgrolexclub.

Bought mine in Germany. The AD (wempe) gave rather generous discount, factoring in Vat refund it's quite a good deal.

Where can I get a ballpark figure of the priced in Germany? (Before vat refund and stuff)

My friend don't buy such stuff one so I think it would be better for me to provide the info to him

i heard Ball is very popular in Hong Kong re-sale market. Need resident guru Ed Yeo to help out maybe. Pity i can't read his postings daily :o

anyone know if nomos is cheaper in germany than sg or something?

If you know which watch shop to go...with VAT, potentially can have some small savings. I don't have contacts

hey guys,

What should I take into consideration when changing watch strap ?

If my watch strap is 20mm then any other 20mm watch strap sold regardless of brand/material will be able to fit in my watch?

I'm thinking of changing my entry level laco pilot watch(Augsberg) from leather strap to a rubber/water proof strap for a more casual look because I don't have to wear office wear to work...just old jeans, old polo t shirt...so I want to tone down on the leather part of my watch.

Also do most watch shop have straps to change ? Reason I ask because sometimes walk pass citichain(only watch on display and no straps on display)

Most of the time, as long as your watch strap match your lug width, it should fit.

Most watch shops will have some straps, though the selections might be limited. Almost all of my straps are bought online, or from shops like K2 and Bencoolen.

Also buy a watch tool bar, cheapest is from Carousell for $4 for a mini one. You'll need it to remove the spring bar. On rare occasion, the spring bar might be screwed in, then you'll need a mini screwdriver to remove them.
