Do you guys think the mi3 is really worth the price considering its about 2.5X the price of the redmi?

Usually top-of-the-line products are targeted at enthusiasts who are willing to pay for the price. Thus they are usually not bang for buck as compared to redmi.

HOWEVER if you compared to other phones with same specs, then you will know why it sold out so fast

what kind of data? pictures on iPhone is "locked" can't be saved from iTunes also...u need to google for that. some say can import to pc n transfer to android but say say its locked...

contacts sync to google acc aka any gmail.

music u just get from iTunes n transfer the files using usb.

whatsapp backed up msg is impossible unless jailbreak.

basically there's nothing much u can transfer easily from iPhone.

the moment u use iPhone u are STUCKED technically...

How much are you paying per mth for ur plan? What extra services do u have to pay for other than caller id, since its only free for 24 mths? Just curious.

If u're heavy gamer I guess. Cos currently the Redmi does everything I used to do. That's coming from a 5S. No complains.

In fact I actually find the 3G speeds pretty decent. Using the free data sim given when I signed up fiber. Not sure what's the data limit ..

Wow you replaced 5s with Redmi? Really no regrets? Cos I'm also using 5s and considering swopping for Redmi.

I've migrated from iphone 3GS to LG G2 recently. Whatsapp and SMS migration is not easy but can be done.

If using Google services, contacts and emails will be updated on initial set up in the Android phone.

For pictures and videos can easily transfer to PC/Mac and than to the phone.

Whatsapp - refer to this website. I was able to transfer the old messages and photos to Android. However faced a problem of Whatsapp crashing when trying to open some threads. No idea how to resolve. The messages for that thread can be sent to email for retention.

CallerID is free for me and I pay $28/- under CIS . Not going to the 2gb LTE as average I am using 6 gb under 3G HTH

Are you already on 4G plan? Downgrading from 4G to 3G really no regrets? $419 for a 3G only phone is not really worth imo leh.
