Already checked, is genuine. I am using xiaomi and 3rd party ones. Whatever simcard I put also can't detected.

OK, still don't know if you bought it brand new? Anyway sounds like the pins inside might have been damaged for some reason if you have tried more than one SIM card. Better take it to the service centre. Good luck!

What issues are you seeing?
Anyone experiencing issues with accessing data services through their 3G plan? (such as Dropbox, Gmail, Playstore etc)

"[App] has been restricted from using data networks" is the message. WiFi is fine. This is after 4.4.2 upgrade, maybe some setting flag to reset?

Mystery solved. All except "Browser" had a red cross set against them in Security/Data Usage/Restrict...not something I knowingly changed. Weird.:s22:
Easily reset.:)

Just want to know, when you guys make the call, does the screen goes black? If so, how do your end the call? My Mi 3 shows me a blank screen for me when I press the call. There is no way for me to get the screen back on and end the call unless the party on the other side of the line ends it.

I try pressing power and volume button, press and hold, the home and return on screen during the call, nothing works. It is just empty screen. Only when the other party ends the call, the screen comes back on again. Other than screen protector, there is nothing on the touch screen. The SP I use is the one that came with the packaging itself that has the volume and power indication printed on it.

I'm a bit lazy just going down to Sim Lim specially to buy just 1 SP and could not find other reason to do around that area, it is the other side of Singapore to me. But that SP works fine and detect my motion perfectly. So back to my question, is my phone faulty?

I don't have touch screen problem, why would I want to do that? The problem with the phone occurs only during calls, no user interface on the screen surface no matter what button I pushed and which ever part of part of the screen I touched. When I made the call, the screen immediately goes blank. Hence, I can't hung up calls. If I reach voice mail, I'm stuck. Similarly, if I pick up calls, the screen goes blank immediately after I swipe to ans.

So, does the above mention, happen to your phone? Can your describe what interaction can your do when your made the call?

the phone does it because during calls, the screen will turn off if proximity sensor detects something nearby.

So remove the SP that came with the packaging itself that has the volume and power indication printed on it. That thing is not meant to be there, so remove it and your problem may go away because the proximity sensor keeps thinking that something is nearby due to that protector:s22:
