Thinning Hair problem

im male. yes actually i dont feel that it is very severe, but i know it's thinning away.

im kinda glad i didn't pay the whole $998 at one go. i even bought their 750ml shampoo for $62. =( yes im actually quite skeptical about her claim. the next week i go back im gonna question her if she can guarantee after if it will work after 10 treatments, if not then i will insist to pay at most $200 at a time.

no im a student so i do feel the pinch of losing almost a thousand dollars. =( i think i'll continue for a few more session and see if it works.

will update you guys on the progress. =)

1) Propecia is a pill that u need to take once a day for life. A box of 28 pills cost around $80-$100 depending on ur GP charging rate.

2) Minoxidil is a lotion that u apply twice a day on ur head. 2% is available from pharmacy without prescription. 5% requires doctor prescription. Be aware that a chemical(propylene glycol) present in Minoxidl can cause irritation to ur scalp.

3) Nizoral is a shampoo that u use twice a week. This shampoo is extremely drying to ur hair. It cost around $20 a bottle in Sg.

All the treatment mentioned above can only slow down ur hair growth but u will still lose hair.

Usually pple resort to order generic propecia from website or purchase proscar and cut into 5 parts to reduce cost. I prefer to go JB pharmacy to get authentic proscar then purchasing from website. It's a medicine which u need to take in daily, it is better to know where ur drug comes from.

For minoxidil, u can purchase online too but 1 thing u need to be aware is that minoxidil is listed as toxic chemical under "list of prohibited items" by most courier coy.

I read that doctor can inject something on ur scalp, then hair will start to grow. Any idea what is this?

Scientists Find Clue To Baldness That May Lead To Super Rogaine

U.S. scientists have pinpointed a protein that triggers hair loss and the research could lead to a cream to treat baldness, as reported by Helen Briggs at BBC News.
In studies of bald men and laboratory mice, researchers found that levels of a key protein called prostaglandin D synthase are elevated in cells of hair follicles located in bald patches on the scalp, but not in hairy areas.
Hair loss is initiated when the protein binds to a receptor on the cells of hair follicles, causing the follicles to shrink to the point of being so tiny that it leads to the appearance of baldness.
The study found that mice bred to have high levels of the protein went completely bald, while transplanted human hairs stopped growing when given the protein.
Currently Propecia and Rogaine are the only two drugs approved by the FDA for treating hair loss.
Propecia alters levels of testosterone and can lead to sexual dysfunction and impotence.
Rogaine is an alcohol-based liquid that works by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, thereby revitalizing hair follicles. Rogaine's main ingredient, Minoxidil, was originally created as a drug for treating high blood pressure and was found to have the side effect of growing hair.
But Rogaine seems to merely slow hair thinning and loss because it is most effective for younger men who have experienced hair loss for less than five years.
The new research creates potential for developing a cream that can be applied to the scalp to prevent baldness and possibly help hair regrow.
The researchers said that several known drugs that target this pathway have already been identified and some are in clinical trials.
