I started to experience massive hair loss about 17yrs ago when I was 24yrs old.

I was on minoxidil initially and it helped. Once I stopped, everything was back to square one.

I have been to Yunnam ... Tried numerous hair tonic, different types of shampoo, supplement for hair etc, for the past 17yrs and none of it effectively helped me.

Recently my friend recommended me a supplement....and showed me his photographs....but I was told a bottle costs >$5xx and I should get a few bottles to see its effectiveness....I googled on it.... And finally decided to go for its core ingredient only (the one he recommended has other vitamins) and bought this dietary supplement (not even mentioned for Hair!) from pharmacy that costs less than $100.

After 1 week of taking it, I saw many fine hair....and after 4 weeks of taking it, I noticed some fine hair thickening. Today which is almost 5 weeks, I see significant thicker hair. For the first time after 17yrs, I see hope. I hope in one or two months time, I could share with you guys this wonderful supplement.......wish me good luck!

what the supplement name!?! :s22:

Me too, same age and spotting some thinning hairs.

I'm using this orange solution called JoeChem. Use it to massage my scalp every night before i got to sleep.

But i will make it a point to go down to the doc to check out if there are any other medical conditions affecting my hairloss. Will also pop by Unity/Guardian to get myself a bottle of minoxidil 5%.

I think if it's inheritance, nothing much you can do.
Wash your scalp well, particularly if it's oily.

While i was in Southern China, i saw folks who take MSG in every meal and their hair is still loaded with hair despite their age.
I also read reports that there's no scientific proofs that MSG is bad for health or cause hairloss.

Our ancestors came from Southern China part, so are the best people to compare.

So i believe that the main reason why Singaporeans are dropping hair is not because of the food we eat, is more of our stressful lifestyle.

Or if it's food, the difference that i isolate out is spicy food.

Going to see a hair specialist this weekend to see if hair transplant is feasible for me :(

Does anybody recommend any hair specialists?

Or should I try Lao Fo Ye hair care centre first?

gd slping habits also important. no. of hrs and the time to slp and regular slping times. the best is 11, but its hard for some to follow.

11pm is the time yr body starts to do "maintenance".

wash yr hair at least 2 times a day too. during my long jobless period, i was like otaku/nerd, only bathe once a day. with my oily hair and scalp, i realise the top of my hair thinning. i was also a night owl. slp in the day wake up late evening.

now i slp normally and try to have 7hr at least. i find that my hair fall is actually lesser now and curiously the area that is "thin" is now a bit "thicker".

imo all the remedies recommended here can help but we all need to take action to prevent hair loss also.

Is it ok to mix regaine and growell products?

I'm currently using a Minoxidill 5% spray by growell but it will soon finish. I'm thinking of buying Regaine foam to use next. Considering the ingredient is the same they shouldn't be any problem?

FYI to those that don't know: Growell and Regaine are just brand names.
