Thank so much! Will take note.

Yea, they told me they want consultation in-person so they ask me to make plans to go there asap. But they agree to do a video call first to discuss. From their response and your sharing, I think I will try to go ahead ASAP, esp since you mention timeslot is packed.

Incidentally, how was payment settled for your case? Is it like buying a package so you pay lumpsum in advance? Did you do credit card or bring cash for them? (asking because some other hair clinic told me they either want cash to 10% CC fee ) I will ask them during the call as well.

thanks again! hope your hair makes a vibrant return!
Hi

My package total is 90k thb
First visit consultation, i did the nanofat, pay 30k first. 2nd visit to do the HT i pay the remaining 60k.
I pay using C.C. no extra fee. i even use the amaze card linked citibank rewards card to maximise my c.c cashback and point and for amaze card have reward for payment cap at $500sgd for every transaction, i even split my bill into few portions to maximize the rewards.

So C.C payment is not an issue.

Hi Zown24

I just found out about this thread.

I am 56 and have limited donor hairs. Online Doctor said at most 2k can be used.
I was thinking can I go for PRP first in JB and then go for permanent transplant in Bangkok.

What do you think?

Hi, PRP effect may or may not show, of course you can do PRP, Minoxidil, Finasteride, Micro-needling, etc before to boost your scalp heath.

First idenify your norwood scale.
www.healthline.com/health/norwood-scale#treatment

Next try to find examples from this forum to see the before and after effects.

Personally, i'm in 4th month after my HT, my 2300grafts is at the frontal part. they starts to grow so the front hairline can be seen. However, my crown part is still quite thin, i hope to improve by non-HT method.

Hi everyone

Finasteride , "in the tissue, in the hair follicle itself , the half life is 30 days. A single dose will have half its peak dose effect at 30 days. so the logic of using it daily, escapes us which is why for the last 23 years , we, i have been prescribing lower doses than the recommended doses because I just don't see the logic in it" - Dr. Russell Knudsen (his credentials here https://knudsen.com.au/dr-russell-knudsen/). He also was one of the doctors back in the day that participated in the minoxidil studies.

I wanted to share this because I have been to NSC and questioned the dosage that was slapped on me.
I was simply told its just what they use.

I'm female so it bothers me a lot less, dosage or frequency ;) but i wanted to be of help as I know you guys would have "more issues" with dosage and the concept of finasteride itself!

I would like to encourage everyone to watch , subscribe The Hair Loss Show on youtube where these 2 hair transplant experts talk about every single thing on hair loss, more than you will ever learn yourself .
from Dutasteride ,Finasteride, to minoxidil to laser caps and everything else hair loss. I hope it helps as i find them very logical and really break down everything!

One interesting thing I found out elsewhere (not confirmed)
Finasteride Blocks About 70 Percent of DHT, While Dutasteride Blocks 90+ Percent.

(For the hair loss show, I haven't watched their episode yet of Duasteride)

As for NSC the current standard is finax, there is no prescription you can just buy from guardian or watsons.
I was told it has to be from NSC from Doc as per SG guidelines.

For the above Finasteride statement, you can find it here under their Finasteride Q&A

Does Finasteride work for female hair loss too?

You can search "Nanofat in Androgenic Alopecia". It is an alternative to Regenera Activa. As the timeslot for the Hair Transplant is packed like 2-3months ahead. When i go consultation in Nov, he recommend the package to do the nanofat on the very day and book the HT slot in Feb which was the earliest available.

If you are keen to do the HT, go consultation early (not sure can do online or not) and book the HT surgery date first.

Depending on you are doing shaved hair and long hair type, Long hair FUE, do not cut your hair too short or else might as well do shaved hair. Many things to take not like 1 week b4 food/medicine not to eat which can found online. they will remind you a few days b4 on Line but it is a little late. 1 month after HT, no haircut.

Also take care of your health, don't fall sick before the surgery else it may be postponed. You can eat finasteride and apply Minoxidil since you need to wait for 2-3 month. Maybe stop like 2 weeks before the surgery. Also book a hotel within walking distance for at least 3 days from surgery date as you need to self-travel back after the surgery and go for next day washing. Prepare a headband for after surgery as ur head will swell.

So as updated, it is almost 3 months from my HT surgery. All the transplants hair fell due to shock fall. Some hair starts to grow, i can see the new hairline faintly. I went back last month to do a PRP injection on the scalp as part of the package which is like a 15min thing. (take blood, extract platelet + plasma, inject in scalp). So to maximise the trip to the clinc, i do a Fractional RF microneedling and Picolaser for my face.
Sidetrack
I did sylfirm x, is it the same as fractional RF microneedling? your clinic offer frac RF only, just curious why choose this.
Sylfirm x is $1k per treatment.

thanks

my top middle also getting thin, I don’t want to try minoxidil or finasteride as once start cannot be stop.
So finasteride increase testosterone?
Anyone on melatonin for hair growth?

the trend of ppl losing hairs are getting younger, so it is an important thing for them to consider if one major side effect is ED.

I am currently heading into 30s. I am using minoxidil 5% however will changed back to lower dose as it’s sensitive for my scalp itchy and red. On 2 occasions doctor, asked me if I am considering having children . Both time I reject taking it first to see the result of minoxidil . So far I don’t see much difference . Hence I am considering finasteride however unsure of dosage to request..

@ll,
I am backed from BK after my Nano Fats done on 1st day followed by 2nd day HT.
I am happy with The Skin Clinic (shared by Zown24) of their services professional's advise. The clinic is very busy. Communications in English is ok but can be better. One way is to use google translate and then copy and paste into Thai so that they can understand your questions and also their instructions to you. Luckily thanks to this forum and online youtube, a lot of questions were already answered.

I am on the 8th day of HT. Still having pain from the anesthetic effects. As I understand, It should slowly goes off from a week+ after HT. Not sure my slow recovery is due to age plus consumption of alcohol. Decide to stop drinking for 1 week at least

I am happy to share and contribute if you have questions.

On another topic, I met a fellow 31 years old Thai HT male a few days ago. He is my Thai friend's friend. He went to Dr Daina (https://www.facebook.com/dr.danaibangkokhairtransplant/) for DHI (direct hair implant). The cost is 200k THB, very very expensive compare to mine. He is on the 3rd week and his baby hair on the front already started to grow. He didn't have much pain and was able to go to work on the 2nd day. The difference is that he did not need many donors follicles transplant compared to mine (I had 2590 and I think it could have been more if I have more donor hairs) as his balding is not so deep yet. This Danai clinic shared many times that visible results can be seen in a matter of 2 weeks. One more thing, he need not shave. I opted to shave since I am already into it. There is a slight price difference for shaving and non shaving for HT.

If you are keen, pls google more on DHI vs FUE and decide for yourself. I am just sharing.

Wish me luck.

Anyone know how to cure thinning hair? You know, giving it more volume, making it thicker?I've had this problem since my hair started growing i guessAlthough i heard that a bad diet can really affect hair growth and my diet is really really bad...malnutrition :s22: .So,other than eating properly, any advice on what to take?

there's no other treatment other than the following:

1. finasteride
2. minioxidil twice daily 5%
3. hair transplant

shock fall mean after the hair transplant trama, the implanted hair will slowly fall off within the first month. it is the so called ugly duckling phase.

However, the dermal papillae (hair root) is already deeply implanted in the scalp. New hair will start to slowly grow from there, it will be visible on the 4th and 5th month with about 50% of the transplanted site growth with new hair, for 100% it will be about 10th to 12th month time.

Currently i'm in 5th month, my new hairline is quite obvious with new short hair at front.
