Hello anyone, may I know what is the difference between the nsc generic finasteride and the ones that is sold in GP/Watsons/Guardian(Propecia)? Ingredients and effects wise, is it the same?

The nsc generic finasteride is still sold at $12 per box?

I am currently using Propecia but I am running out of Propecia very soon and I am still contemplating whether to go for the nsc via polyclinic route or to continue using Propecia via GP..

Yes same. The generic brand NSC selling is called Stercia , same same 1mg Finasteride as Propecia

Yes, still $12 from the last time I visited. Think is a no brainer to get from NSC than to get them at GPs or those pharmacies that cost over $100/box...

Hi all, I thinking to get topical min for my thinning hair. I'm 40 now, been plagued with scalp folliculitis (lost some hair there) during my teenage years on and off, seen specialist for sometime. Stable for many years.

Last time hair is longer, maybe not so obvious but now I keep my hair shorter and thinning on hairline crown area can be seen.

I have improved my diet, scalp massage daily every shower, microneedling over recent 1 yr period. don't see much progress. Have also recently tried my ordinary serum for 2 months. Intend to try another few months.

I reading up alot on min and fin. Decide to go with min first.

Read no more subsidy from NSC even with polyclinic referral now.
Polyclinic got prescribe growell min ? Isit lower cost or similar to retail or shopee official icm store ?

Technically the content is same. I think what you concerned if efficacy. I am on finapecia 1mg I want to say same it's as propecia is quite hard. I did use propecia many years back and stopped. And I am much older now and price of propecia is much more expensive. Finapecia is effective to at least what I can see on my head. But if you are using, you understand the effect is not immediate and takes months. Younger people may see immediate affect.

Just take 5 times a week and keep the two days off the oral med if you plan to procreate.
Adjust your med schedule as as when you like.

Bro I think you should at least try the NSC and check Incase there are any other reasons for hair loss.
Please cover your bases and get a health screening as well. There are many options which are affordable.
Sometimes health screening can show sign of issues of any health conditions related to hair loss

Yes that is what I practise too, but only skip 1 day per week and then take a tiny sip of tongkat ali daily to boost up my libido...

No prescription required. I think if can get prescribed finasteride from local polyclinics or NSC, it can be cheaper than JB. Or anyone know where to get cheaper medication from reputable pharmacies, please share
