Use this solution then paint over after 24 hours. Want to use bleach also can if you have.
https://nipponpaint.com.sg/product/anti-fungus-solution/

Try to open the window when you are not at home. My brother place also have black mold on ceiling because he never open the window and the neighbour above always on the aircon. After he open the window no more. no need to open window big big, just 5-10cm opening help a lot.

Your thirsty hippo solution even spam 20 pieces won't help with your mold problem, dare to chop on this.
Ya last time I also add some anti mould powder to those expensive oil sealant liao
Then top up with expensive paint also
Oil based is must since not new coat n then it’s VERY SMELLY

the ceiling really last longer than without the powder

don’t have black dots but yellowish n can have the small flies like booklices on the ceiling because their food on the ceiling

Ts don’t think abt hippo because it’s expensive in the long run n not going to solve yr issues of sleeping with the moulds n fungus

also watched some video said moulds can cause dementia wor
So don’t play play n underestimate power of spores

Where do you put these disposable dehumidifiers in aircon rooms? Near the door? Under the aircon? On top of the shelf?

It works somewhat, but only in small enclosures and it fills up fast before needing a new pack; tested before with a digital hygrometer with bluetooth function and humidity definitely went down quite a bit as long as don't open and close often.

Imo, better to get a proper dehumidifier or just on the aircon.
It's a chemical dessicant why won't it work.
Best in enclosed spaces with minimal airflow.
Like maybe the big toyogo storage boxes that are covered up.

If needed, change the canistet once no more solid matter remains. Thats probably 50% container capacity

If cost is a concern, buy from watsons or shopee when 1f1 , buy 1 carton.
That's what i did. Still doing this.
A carton probably lasts me like... A year and a half up to 2

Ceiling mold. The ceiling started to get those black dots this year after I turned off the aircon and just used the fan, i.e. after room is cool, fan only with door open.
Ceiling mold try use white vinegar and cloth to rub it, seriously soak the surface. Yes it smells. But mold dies, vinegar soaking a bit of the substrate.

Dry off naturally then anti mold paint, i like Nippon Paint AntiMould CEILING WHITE.
Alternative is Raffles Paint de anti mould.
Since ur not scraping off the first few layers i guess

I use a rechargeable small dehumidifier from Deerma. $20 shopee

No need to replace beads or product, just recharge by electricity at least 12 hours after the beads turn to green from orange

I had the same issue previously, the end solution is to do a ceiling wipe down and repaint it with anti-mould paint. Before the repaint, I tried using these small dehumidifier and there's no use at all.
But I had already done the ceiling paint with anti-mold paint. In fact these black spots appeared after doing so. No mold before that in this room.

is there any particular brand of white vinegar? I don't really cook so I have no idea what it is.

Basically is silica gel beads and a heating element to clear the moisture.

I wouldn't care for that when i have the 750, 800ml dehumidifier canister. Use n throw, immediate replacement, visually able to check usage limit also, unless space constraint.

However if ur into slow heat stir fry a wok or pot of silica gel beads, then $20 can get you really alot of them. And can wrap in old sock or old cloth like the japanese teru teru bozu

those thirsty hippo only works in small enclosed areas
