so let say i go in AD now and want a dayjust 41 or 36mm. will i need to wait for years to get it?
I waited a mere 5 days for my DJ41 but waiting period is subjective to the design n colour u want. I understand from my AD fluted bezel is more sought-after so I believe this particular design will have a longer list.

TBH, when i sold my 2 watches to one of the listed below (only recently), they don't. even long time ago when i sell to another grey retailers, they just watch the serial number and then off you go...

This is true. I have sold watches to reputable greys before and can confirm that the watches were NOT opened up when they took in. This makes me skeptical about the peace of mind of paying more when getting from these sellers. Actually no difference from individual private sellers.

A side story, recently I sold off my sea dweller. The buyer didn’t request authentication, so I asked if he is new to Rolex, he is. and I advised him to get authentication, he say don’t need. I’m utterly surprised, so much trust.

Anyone rmb the previous case of Brightime getting scammed by a HK duo with Chopard and Cartier watches that had fake movements?

Buying from grey or 2nd hand shops will always carry a risk that your purchase might not be 100% authentic.

new OP blue waited for 1 week+ its really fast. got prior purchases?
No prior purchase... Don't wan to expose which AD lah later confirm some will come here read read and link moi edmw acct with real identity. .

Anyway just try leave your details/interest with all ADs, more chance to get your watch also. So it may be that OP or date/datejust may not be so hard to get from AD even without prior purchase.

Anyway get first hand new rolex from local AD also maybe easier to sell off and at higher price right, cos box and papers have, and it's a Singaporean AD which moi think should be super reputable.

when I sell my Rolex to the usual grey, they don't open up too. I asked them before why they don't open, he told me, it's not like u can put a fake part in the movement and the watch will still move. the movement can't operate with any fake part

Want to buy, can, but have experience and know what you're looking for.

There are many "tells" in a clone movement, the finishing, the position, etc

You really need to know your stuff and a very keen eye.

Even the super rep Daytona's and Subs cannot exactly replicate the dial, the bezel and the bracelet endlink flush between the lugs. Also, I have never seen a replica that has springbar of the authentic Rolex thickness.

Google clone 3135 and 4130. And compare the side by side photos

They are made to replicate the authentic Rolex 3135 and 4130 movements

However, they can never get it exactly right, and there are many tell-tale signs such as the precision of finishing of the parts.

You really need to use a loupe

That’s why I always tell my friends, just go to RSC and adjust bracelet, or like me, lose the spring bar while changing straps and then go to RSC and ask for replacement. They didn’t even charge me.
