I first time buying Rolex, want to buy for my wife entry level date just, seems like all OOS? Is this the usual case? Why so hot ah

You meant the SS lady datejust models? All the ADs I visited, showcases are mainly filled with TT lady Datejust models aplenty:s13:

The most characteristic Rolex of our times, but simultaneously the most uncharacteristic Rolex of our times.

She specifically wanted pink dial which nobody seem to have

I see, you looking for a specific colour dial. I was wondering why you asking if entry level lady DJ all oos when lady dj are the most abundant in all ADs.

Wonder when I will be lucky enough to obtain a watch from AD.

Dont like that la. When you're new to the watch scene, you probably think as long as you put your name down, eventually they will call you.

But in reality, you really need some purchase history to get those popular watches.

Anyway if you're looking for dj pop colours, just go buy from carousel la. Only pay slightly higher than rrp

As far as I understand, once a model is discontinued, the "interest" list goes out of the window, and a new list is started.

I beg to differ. I had several friends, including myself personally with zero purchase history with any ADs and we managed to get our hands on our desired models. One even managed to get the highly sought-after latest sub. I did what many started off as collectors...walked in, put name, walked out n wait for call.

Anybody bought Rolex from overseas airport before?

Is it true that the VAT refund of 20% means RRP stated in the country’s website minis 20%?

Depends on which airport... Airport AD stock levels are usually terrible too. Not every country is cheap. E.g Bangkok Airport AD is expensive even after VAT refund
