Yo guys, can I get your opinion whether you will choose to get GMT master rootbeer or pepsi? What is the reason if you don't mind to share? Because of history of the watch, more investment value and etc.?

png, HJ watch, watchlink etc are all ok. the reason why we are seeing brighttime or chuan more often are because they spend on marketing, moving to social media. evolution of technology to target the market.

yes, they are all rich, either from selling/buying watch or via other investment. They drive all the super lux cars that we can ever dream of. so i have to give credit for that. they earned it.

let's not do further marketing for them, any of the established retailers are all fine, so it is the price that the buyer is willing to pay and of course how much marked up they are selling. the price now is very transparent in the market, buyer can easily do some research and if the buyer thinks that the price is reasonable, then a deal is reached.

Goldman also quite a fair bit of selection but he tries to do more vintage stuff.

the queue was even longer in Dec and Jan before cny. they must be very huat

Hello Rolex Veterans,

Stumbled across this forum thread and thought that it'd be best if I get some advice from the Rolex community [please don't flame me, I'm new to the scene]. I'm looking to purchase my first Rolex and fell in love with the DateJust 41 - Blue Dial (126300).

I've been observing the market for this model for the past few months and as expected, it's non existent at ADs and grey dealers are pricing them at a ludicrous amount. I've registered my interest with Hour Glass but am pretty sure I'll never get an update from them. I understand the scarcity for these popular models and don't mind paying a premium for them, but paying $15k to over $16k for a 126300 is just ridiculous (to me).

Appreciate if I can get any advice from people who are experienced in this scene and helping me attain my first Rolex . E.g., recommended grey dealer /ADs / Independent sellers, if $16 for grey market is "okay".

if anyone can help you attain your first Rolex, they might as well attain it for themselves.

its a very realistic world now, every piece of Rolex is a profit. There's no right or wrong or whether you feel if it's ridiculous to pay that amount for the model you want. i think if you really like it then do it early then you can enjoy wearing it longer, cos you know there's literally no other way EXCEPT go grey or build relationship with the AD. If you wait, you will forever be waiting.

If some brothers already had a good relationship with their ADs which they spent effort on, why would they wanna intro you, which sort of add on one competitor for them.
