More realistic. Need wait but prob less competiton for them.

Provided u like 2t. 2tone watches can wear great too. I have 2sd43. And 2 is in 2t and i absolutely love it.

Yep, the half gold sport models are more attainable targets. Usually don’t require that much of purchase to be allocated one. Beside the above TT sport models, another one that could be relatively easy to get is the YM40 2t Chocolate Dial.
The perception of Rolex as a uncle brand or uncle looking especially its 2t models is changing in recent years. Many younger people are no longer adverse to wearing 2t Rolex watches, even the DJ 2t. I have a GMT Master 2t too (the discontinued one). And Rolex watches are meant to last for decades and after a while when you get older, you will appreciate the classic look of yellow and rose gold on your watch more.

As for SS watches, I guess beside Explorer 1, the more attainable targets are the Air King and Deepsea Black.

Definitely agree with your observation but would like to also say that it is this group of people who are most bothered about their image and if the uncle look is something that bothers them greatly, then they will rather wait for the fish than to accept the shrimp alternative. This is of course for some and not all too. Sometimes the preference changes with age too. My friend was adverse to 2t Datejust some years back but now can accept it, albeit only rosegold 2t DJ and not the yellow gold. And I know for her case is not because no fish shrimp also ok mentality. Her taste preferences simply just changed with age.

You can try asking for Explorer 2 although it should be quite unlikely they will allocate you one with just a DJ36 SS purchase, but no harm asking. Chances for a Air King is higher than the Explorer 2. It also depends on the seniority of your SA within the AD.

Maybe a simpler DJ31 for her and/or BB58 for myself as next watch. But I read here is equally hard to get. Not even sure with 2-3 purchases can have profile or not.

Try to find out more from your AD. Usually they will be more responsive if you maintain a more frequent communication with them.
