They will definitely prevent scratches if that's your only concern. But there are other things to consider:

1) Dirt/ dust will accumulate at the corners of the stickers.
2) It's a sticker, it can come off
3) Can't really wash your watch if you have stickers
4) It will kind of dull the shine of your stainless steel

Scratches shouldn't bother you as you can easily Polywatch it, or when servicing (if it's big scratches). The only thing I worry about is if there's a big ding i.e. If you slip and fall down or a door slams on your watch. In those scenarios, I'm not sure if the protector can help either.
Actually I have also been thinking of above. I had couple of Rolex with the stickers on. But recently also been thinking whether it’s necessary. I might go without it for my next Rolex/PP.
Simple wiping can still be done on the watch surface with the stickers on but like what you mention, there may not be a real need after all. As for the scratches, I have DIY with cape cod cloth before. It can remove light scratches but not the deeper ones. Well, I think I’m ok with light scratches actually, doesn’t exactly get bothered by it. I’m careful with my watch and hence never have any dings and dents on them

You can definitely wash your watch even with the stickers on. I have watches both with stickers and without, and i tend to wash them under running water almost always after each wear. Totally no issue.

I see. How about washing with soap? and do you use your fingers to rub or just rinse?

I normally wash with baby soap and use a finger/ soft-toothbrush to just brush it.

Cape cod cloth suitable to polish the gold parts? This is my first 2T Rolex but not sure how to maintain.
Even if I go for the TPU stickers, probably only the polished parts. The crystal and bezel will leave it without.

Use gold polishing cloth. Cape cod is too abrasive.

I used the cape cod on the gold links of my TT GMT and it works fine. Just do not polish it too often though. It will restore the shine of the gold and also remove certain scratches.

To me i see no point, Just wear it as it is. It just reminds me so much of the Panerai Silicone protector.

Looking to get my first Rolex in year end. Since it is almost impossible for me to buy from AD, where could I get a pre-owned one that is mint or unworn? Hope you guys can share some of your stores. Quite afraid of looking around myself especially after the the whole Tradenation saga. Thanks in advance!

My usual go-to stores are Finestime (HarbourFront) and Brightime (Bencoolen). They have new and pre-owned models.

Visit the store, sees what you likes, pays and collects the watch on the spot.
